Spoken by a complete imbecile. Fraud will not work in peer reviewed work, let alone grant applications - it's too easy to spot. Universities recruit scientists that have a strong publishing background, i.e., they publish lots of research. Any promotion is done by the University.
Chose another profession. As someone who was a graduate research assistant, we all knew grant writing was part of the job. You want to keep doing research then you need to apply for grants.
Read much? It's the press release not the abstract genius.
And the problem is the reporter not the scientist. I have read countless news article headings that had little to do with what the article reported, and then even less that what the actual research paper stated. News is about getting eye balls, either through subscriptions for papers or ratings for news shows.
Researchers do not need to gin up their research to gain funding. The agencies that provide funding are run by actual researchers that understand the research not your average moron.
Really? Then why is every friggin' web site redesigning it's layout for tablets? It's not like they can't determine your are coming from a desktop computer versus a tablet but no they force that fucking layout on you.
Yes, yes they are. For most people a smartphone is all they ever need. Email, browse the web, listen to music, watch video, play insipid little games. Why would you need a computer?
The other side of it is business is very mobile. People need to travel and have access to their information. Laptops are big, bulky and in many case not practical. You're smart phone on the other hand is small and easy to take with you anywhere.
You need to understand what they mean by post pc grandpa.
So the part where the company copied and pasted its disaster plan for deep sea drilling from an off-shore drilling disaster plan doesn't sounds any alarm bells for you....
Dear god look it up. The moon is not a better launching site, it's not a direct launch to Mars. It's not cost effective because you have to carry fuel in addition to your own to send a rocket to mars from the moon. People have looked at this and said the logistics are not better launching from the moon versus the earth.
Why not both? The only aspect of space exploration that is galling is manned space exploration. The belief that manned space exploration is necessary. It's not and it's well proven that manned space exploration provides little scientific value. It's great P.R. but not good science. Any scientist will tell you we learn more from probes and satellites than from men walking in space. We have learned so much from the Voyager program. And it doesn't cost nearly as much as it does to launch man into space and contains no risk.
Thank You! Samsung's patent rattling is far worse than Apple's.
FYI you don't like patents - CHANGE THEM!
There is a way out of this, change the patent system. How much do you want to bet Samsung is ok with the current system and wouldn't want to change them.
The change was a supply issue. IBM maintained development and production of the Power processor and PowerPC. It was still better than x86 but the gap closed once Intel adopted AMD's 64 bit architecture.
Really? Complaining about people's buying habits? Wow. Next you'll be complaining about people's Facebook posts...
By that logic SDI or Star Wars was a huge economic boon for America....oh wait it wasn't.....
I take it you're not a fan of Gravity either....

Because people still use them for phones....
Yeah because Apple's 2Q results were horrible...oh wait....
Gaming laptop. So your laptop replaced your desktop for gaming.
Think on that for a minute and you'll figure it out.

Did you see the bit about the battery life - there you go.
Somebody's jealous.

After the recent tar balls and oil patched brought to shore by Hurricane Isaac....

Fuel baby. Where's the freaking fuel coming from?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
From the paper, "The PAE business model focuses not on developing or commercializing patented inventions but on buying and asserting patents"
Every freakin' jackass that says Apple is a patent troll doen't know the fucking definition of patent troll!!
