If you're a programmer/developer, it's probably less than that, particularly in some localities. It used to be negative. (think about it, if 'most people' did work in these fields, the unemployment rate would be a lot higher)
It almost doesn't matter how much you pay a CEO, because there's only one of them. OTOH, it matters a lot how much you pay those at the bottom of the wage pyramid. I know, the perception of a CEO getting more per hour than you get in a year doesn't *look* good, but the perception that it's not good is all there is.
Heh. How many of those DB-25 connectors used just 3 wires? A lot. might as well use 3 out of 9 as 3 out of 25, and it gave the chance to put extra connectors on the minimal external connector space on an expansion card. And it reduced the chance of plugging a parallel printer (with 5V logic) into a connector that had +- 12V on it. Ouch. (supposedly the gender of the plugs would stop this, but what with the confusion between DTE and DCE genders, it was all too easy to do) Damn, I'm sorry to see the end of RS-232 and parallel interface printers... NOT!
It doesn't take much of a failure inside the plugpak to put a lot more than 5V at the far end of the cable. And I don't think I trust your average phone to be rated as double-insulated.
They could remedy that by hardwiring the cable to the charger. That would authenticate the entire assembly, but it wouldn't look as 'pretty' in the packaging.:^)
Don't you have to be subject to the US Constitution? If I'm not getting its many benefits, I'm damned well not going to be subjected to its punishments.
Or do what a lot of authors do, and put the weird words and their pronunciation in an appendix, with a hotlink if it's an eBook. Hell, if it's an ebook, you could have a spoken pronunciation. I'd rather the weird words than the verbose expansion - that feels too dumbed down for my liking.
How do you find Windows to be different? It too will be a race to the bottom, with a critical difference: It lags so far behind in market share that it'll hit bottom and burn long before Android (deliberately not mentioning Apple, iOS doesn't meaningfully run on anything but Apple)
This isn't in any way a request or order to not follow him. That is not what the word 'need' means. Saying "please do not follow him" would be a request, omit the word 'please' if you don't want to be polite. The dispatcher should do a communications course.
Assange? Snowden? Manning? I'm not saying they are good examples for asteroid naming, but certainly better than Trayvon. Better to name haemorrhoids after him than asteroids. Preparation Trayvon.
Because the Liberal party is the conservative party, after all. That a conservative would accidentally vote Libertarian because of this naming issue has me almost pissing myself with laughter.
Or perhaps selecting the winner of a karaoke competition should be done in a similar manner to choosing national policy? It doesn't sound as bad when you write it that way.
Using one of the preprint howtovote online systems was definitely the way to go. Previously I'd start at 100 (or whatever) and vote down to 1, putting the totally poisonous parties like Rise Up Australia and coalition at 100 and vote down to those I despised least. But this online system made it easy to lookup the parties and preference them based on that, with no risks of messing up and having to start over.
In this election, I suspect enough *did* vote below the line to warrant their being counted.
So you're asserting that because he opened other people's mail, that he's wrong about essential liberty? (perhaps it makes him hypocritical, though) How do you define liberty, then? The right to have your communications read without court sanction?

Have copied this, and are using Antonovs for drones.
You're on a roadway, behind (the wheel of) a car, in charge of it, with a vehicle in drive,
So putting your car into Park and texting would be ok?

Double jeopardy here, we'd have 240VAC on the case.

Oxygen free cables, no doubt.
Looks like I hang on to my HP Touch charger and try to get some more.

Just used a Swedish honeytrap on him...
Perhaps we're talking a dictionary definition of the word, not a redefined one that means nothing. Black is white, up is down, see Orwell.

Dispatcher: Ok, we don't need you to do that.

The wires in their chords don't break.
