I can't see how the Tsunami would have affected undercurrents. Just what sort of reports have their been about sea life being affected?

What I think is bigger news, but less known is the Google Sandbox Effect. It seems that Google may be broken, because they are no longer able to calculate PageRank across 8 billion pages. They stopped doing their monthly updates earlier this year. Some people think the Sandbox Effect is a result of Google being broken, and some people think it is a tool to drive up Adwords clicks.
They must prove themselves to have good search results consistently over a period of time. And, of course, if they spent say $1 Billion on marketing, that would help.
Things are always more expensive when they are new. Why spend the money on 3.4 Ghz today, when you can get it for probably 1/4 the cost a year from now?
There are programmers in Romania, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Phillipies, and many other places. India will NOT get all the jobs, and if their pricing does not stay competitive with these other places, India will lose market share also. In addition, are you talking about Bangalore or other parts of India. There are Senior Programmers in other parts of India making $120 USD/month.
So in reality, project managers will have even more choices of where to find quality programmers. More will go overseas, yes. But will it all fall into the hands of one group, I doubt it.
We haven't even had elections yet, and we have a prime minister? WTF?

The next major release by Microsoft will be in 2035 when they release the MS-5. One of the major parts of the OS will be that it may not harm humans.
The Trusted Computing marketing platform will soon be replaced by Trusted Robots, but don't worry, these robots are programmed to help humans, and by then the OS will be 100% bug free.
1. Browser learns how to serve popups and make money.
2. Browser learns how to install programs on the users machine without their knowledge, because it knows what's best.
3. Browser automatically knows which favorites should populated in the favorites menu without any prompting by the user.
4. Browser learns to control an entire space ship and can complete the mission even if the crew has to be sacrificed.
So the question is...
Is Napster the "Best Buy" when is comes to online music?
Why not just install some kiosks with a CD Burner and an emule installation?
It would do wonders for the sale of blank media.
In similar news, Microsoft is now planning on spending more on it's Advertising Campaign here on Slashdot. Now that they are "opening" their doors, we an all rally around Microsoft!
Let me think...
NO!
If every library would buy more computers, and put the librarians to work scanning everything, we can have an unprecendented amount of info available on the internet. How do you afford the computers? Simple, stop buying as many new books. Also, put some Adsense type ads on the login page, and use that revenue to buy more terminals.
Now that he is getting older, could Bill Gates be starting to think...how could I give something back? Naaaahhhh! I should have never asked.

Show me where people from the political donor class who cheated on millions of dollars in taxes got 15 year sentences. It just about never happens.
I guess I'll have to get my movies for free at the public library. Hopefully, before long the libraries will start offering downloads.
