Because I'm pretty sure I want to eat whatever the hell I feel like.
You do realize that a significant change in diet and activity level will actually change what you're body feels like eating right?
Having to eat a horrid diet might give you a healthy body but it's not optimal in any way.
A healthy doesn't have to be horrid. Of course if you're as addicted to sugar/fat as a smoker is to cigarettes, I can see how change might be difficult.
Substituting mental suffering for physical suffering is not a be all end all cure.
A healthy lifestyle will contribute significantly to a better mental state. So not only are you getting a dose of extra fat with that super-sized coke, you're getting a dose of depression and anxiety.
That said issues such as genetics and hormones do affect one's mental state ("will power") as well as the strength of the desires for certain types of food and lack desire for exercise. A person who's body that does poorly at metabolizing fat will require struggle with exercising for fat loss and will use more 'effort' than a normal person.
Of course history indicates that most people are more than capable of keeping a relatively healthy weight and the majority of the problem is caused by modern diets.
Having a lot of active and former military peeps in my family, most of them would very, VERY serious consider an order to fire on American Citizens to be improper, and would ignore it.
What happens when it's "Fire on those rebels or we'll throw you and your family (including children) in gitmo for treason."?
What about if you use multiple C's, and encrypt the data using a key only know by A and B (possibly even a public private key pair)?
That way:
A - doesn't know where the data is going.
B - doesn't know where the data came from.
C - doesn't know what the data is.
Neither one of these would have enough evidence to sue another (unless they somehow work together).
People used to complain about having to restart windows everytime they installed something. So havent we learnt how to install things without needing a restart yet?
NASA gets a good ship for less of the taxpayers money
How does this mean they get the ships for less. If NASA made the ships they'd be getting them at cost price. Doing it this way it makes it cost + profit margins + prize money. How is this cheaper?
I don't know, if all CD's are sold with 'useless' copy protection then techincally it cant be 'pirated'. This means the RIAA can no longer blame pirates for the decline in sales.

This article has to do with Digital Rights Managment music being sold online.

Same could apply to those who designed the system in the first place.
