Then you should come back to your roots and play more Doom! Join us over at Skulltag - decent graphics but amazing gameplay. It's what it's all about. Although some of the new pwads users have made actually look a lot better than just decent. :)

Of course healthcare is expensive, but don't you dare try to touch it in Canada. No Canadian government has ever even hinted at changing our system over to the same as the U.S. It's just so incredibly obvious to everybody how horrible privatized healthcare is that it's not even thought of. We just debate over how much money to spend on it. A lot of money is wasted in the U.S. system on things that have nothing whatsoever to do with the hospital. All those private insurance companies have a *lot* of employees who make very good livings. So in the U.S. system you have to pay the salaries of all the hospital workers as usual, but in addition you have to pay for all those insurance company employees! Which system is more expensive now?

Don't get me wrong, personally I love articles like this. They worked hard to create a new versoin and want more people to try out the game. Getting the story posted on Slashdot helps get the word out. Considering the game is free I've got absolutely no problem with it. It's just frustrating for me that when I've submitted stories regarding new versions of Skulltag (another freeware game, which yes - also runs on linux) they've always been rejected. Is a Doom 2 port not considered cool enough these days?

  4. Re:Oy vey gevault. on Could Global Warming Make Life on Earth Better? · · Score: 1

I agree with the parent. Global Warming is a hoax. Period. End of story. Yes, the temperature is rising, this much is certain. That being said however - the temperature of the earth is constantly in flux. C02 has absolutely nothing to do with the temperature. C02 levels rise and fall as a result of the temperature increasing or decreasing. They do *NOT* CAUSE the temperature to increase or decrease. Man-made global warming is an even more ridiculous idea. C02 makes up 0.05% of the atmosphere. Humans create less than 10% of the total C02. So, humans account for 0.005% of the total atmosphere... and that's being generous!!! How can you honestly believe that we're changing anything?! The SUN is what affects us the most. The number of sun spots on the sun directly correlates to the temperature of the earth. When there is a lot of activity on the sun, then the temperature goes up. When there isn't.... then the temperature goes down.

From TFA: "This improved combustion efficiency also would reduce emission of two other harmful gases contained in exhaust: global-warming carbon dioxide..." I'm really getting sick of all of this global warming paranoia. News flash people: C02 is perfectly natural, humans only create like 1% of all C02 on the earth (The ocean makes the most.), and it is *NOT* causing global warming! THE SUN CAUSES THE TEMPERATURE TO INCREASE! I know, shocking! When there are lots of sun spots, the temperature of the earth goes up. When there aren't very many, the temperature goes down. It's as simple as that.

heh, well if that's your attitude towards invasion of privacy then I suggest you never visit Mexico until you're at least over the age of 45. It's quite routine here in Guadalajara for the police to simply randomly stop young people walking around late at night and completely search them. I've been here 3 months and I've been lucky as it's only happened to me once. Couple of my friends down here have had it happen 4 or 5 times each. Course then again bribing the police if they find anything is routine here as well so...
