I have worked for USAA since mid-2006, it is truly an incredible company. They are very smart with their finances, they take VERY good care of their membership and their employees, and there is a solid culture of openness between multiple departments and management levels, all the way up to the CEO himself.
The next thing you know, I am going to be told that BetaMax, LaserDiscs, CRT's and Windows NT 4.0 are being phased out.
(Huddles in the corner to sob away while playing on his Lite-Brite)
Maybe they discovered they were running a pirated version of Win2K3, too bad they didn't become self-aware and implode upon themselves, greedy fucks....
PORN, then I file it away, and more PORN comes in, then more, then more. Then I get a little tired and take a nap. Then, I wake up to more PORN. It's a dirty, endless cycle.
I couldn't stand the plasticy (yes, I just invented the word) feel of the iBook keyboards. Please tell me the new KBs feel more solid. I have gotten so spoiled on my PBG412/1.5, that keyboard is the business!
Wasn't one of Steve's lines to (I think it was) Gil Amelio, who at the time worked for Coca Cola "do you want to sell flavored sugar water or do you want to change the world?"
Funny how things come full circle like that.
I have to say, I laugh at it because I think it is funny, but I am NOT laughing AT the kid.
I think his creativity is amazing and I give the guy a nod for doing what he did. So often, we don't give kids the freedom to express themslves. This kid took creativity and originality to a whole new level. Unfortunately, by the video being posted on the web and by it being taken greatly out of context, it has caused him a world of problems. That is too bad, the poor guy will probably take a while to get over this.

From my Craigslist post
# 2 and # 3 just got 750GB drive upgrades, with my Media Center, I am now sitting at over 2TB of storage. In the end, it has cost me about $7500 dollars for everything and about 3 years to put it all together.
Hey, I understand where you are coming from. Let me give you a little background into me.
At home, I use 9 PCs, they include:
Domain Controller, File Server, Backup File Server, Web Server, Development PC, Media Center, Gaming PC.
I also have a PowerMac G3 and a PowerBook G4 12". For ease of use, simplicity, etc, I always use the Macs when possible. I rarely get frustrated with them and they JUST WORK. I have always found PC-based support, shopping and products to be a dime-a-dozen. When I go shopping for Mac products, it is an experience that I just cannot put into words. I work in a service-oriented industry and I also have a side business which I have built off nothing but referrals. No advertising, no business cards, etc. I know the power of good service and when I find it I stick with it.
I have also been in the computer industry long enough to be able to bypass some of the usual crap when it comes hardware, software, etc. I am not 110% dependent on the kid at Fry's, CompUSA, etc to help me with my purchases. Having said that, I make it a point to educate myself on how to run a clean OS. I don't need to spend 200$ on spyware, antivirus and pop-up software to help my PC stay tidy. The fact that Macs don't even have those problems out of the box is another huge selling point.
I have also owned 4 iPods this year alone. I started with a Mini, then a Shuffle, Nano and now a Video iPod. I have been a Mac convert for only about 11 months now.
I have to admit, Apple has it so right when it comes to customer astonishment. Unlike a certain competitor that is located at a certain Pacific Northwest location, Apple listens to what people wants and delivers something even better than what was asked of them. Microsoft makes it one way and forces you to live by their standards. Sorry, but I have to go with Apple every time
That is kinda messed up but expected to ensure survival. I just used WinRAR and opened ITUNESSETUP.exe, then extracted the setup for Quicktime. If anyone wants to know how to do a silent install for Quicktime, let me know.
For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the gaurdians of peace in the galaxy.... before the dark times, before some bloke decided to make a mockery of my empire and put personal musical satisfaction above world domination.
Like most people, I grew up on 4, 5 and 6 (born in '73), I always remembered him being the supreme old grumpy bastard. I was somewhat happy to see him back in the game, even if it was digitally enhanced.
I have a stupid question, but I have to ask it. That gangly looking clown who was standing with the Emperor and Vader right at the end of Episode III, didn't he look suspiciously like a younger version of Moff Tarkin (lurchy bone structure). If so, it is rather ironic that he was overseeing the construction of the battle station that would be his grave a short 18 years later.
Please tell me Snooki and The Situation were not involved.

Sorry, are you calling me a troll?

Aren't Linux and the rest of them supposed to be "FREE* software?

Not two weeks ago. How ironic Here it is. Interesting to see what regular folks think about this kind of stuff. http://forums.phoenix.craigslist.org/?ID=41833383

I hope that better explains my point
