Personally, I've been waiting for Solaris 10 to come out for quite a long time now. I'm looking to make it my main file server and such, replacing the current Linux system I'm running. Don't get me wrong, I love Linux but I'm dying to see what Solaris is like. If anything though it's something new to play with!
Looks like EA trying to knock out competition the way every other company out there would. They see a threat and want to nullify it before it becomes a serious problem to their income ratings.
Google has yet to actually give us even the slightest notion that they would use Gmail in ways that would invade privacy. This is simply an act, I believe, by worried politicians that something good might dominate the Internet and threaten their pockets.
We're looking at a world becoming unplugged, so to speak. Wireless phones, PDAs and the such are incredibly popular. The use for small 3 to 6 inch screens are everywhere today and their display capabilities pale in comparison to OLED. Even in static environments like a small fridge display or security station in a large corporation's building.
The new laser printing that Samsung is using to design their OLED screens is something that can help capitalize the trend that the desk is no longer the ball and chain that is used to be. OLED isn't just about getting bigger but about getting more efficient and refined.
I think that people are missing the relevance of new OLED advancements. Although maybe not suited to desktop and laptop environments OLED remains an extremely elegant solution to a whole slew of other devices. MP3...PDA...etc...
Think of having a pen that could double as a PDA with a nice hi res, low power, display that doesn't strain the eyes.

Sounds like a tactic used everywhere, suing that is, but this seems something that you'd expect MS to have its name on. It's almost a shock.
