So a virus or most likely a Trojan has been opened at some PC that has access to the network. Could be the manager. Could be reception that gets an email at their info address.
So yes, these computers do need (indirect) contact to the Internet. Having it completely separated would mean that they have two PCs and need to type in everything from the screen on one of them onto the screen of the other.
That also means that NO updates can ever be done to ANY of the systems, EVER! Because that would mean that somewhere along the line there is a PC that must have an Internet connection.

What this means for you as a sales person is a bit the same. You are customer driven. That will mean that you get repeat sales. My Dad was a sales director and he always said: The first sale is easy. Everybody can do the first sale. The difficult one is the second one. Always go for the second one. The only way to do that is sell what the customer needs, not what you want to sell or even what the customer says he wants to buy.
And that is also where you start to build relationships with people and that is hell a lot of fun.

I have hired people and have done job hunting myself and nobody ever asked me if I was with a Union. After several years working at a company, they would still not have asked and not cared if I was.
When a company has more than 50 employees, they will have, by law, a social election where representatives for the Unions are voted in and they have regular meetings with management.
So every company with more than 50 people is unionized and smaller ones will have people working who are in a union. Nobody really cares.
Now I am not saying that this system is perfect. It has however given me 35 holidays. It has given me reasonable payouts above and beyond what is legally required when a company closed. It has given me extra insurance and a whole lot more.
It has changed the law in many ways and made many things standard. 21 paid holidays is one of them. Also pregnancy leave and similar things.
Again: not perfect, but much better than without them.
