I know I run the risk of being modded down, but the choices you have just detailed are the exact reason why Linux will never fill any significant void.
While I like to play around with Linux and make informed decisions about which option to use. I would imagine 90% of users would rather have a machine that just worked.
It could equally mean that google has better query expansion mechanisms. If google manages to return more documents containing synonymous terms then its relevant set would be bigger.
A my sibling said the IRA did blow things up in London. I think the reason that you don't recall the events is that the IRA tended to issue warnings before the blasts, hence reducing the number of casualties. There were no such warnings this morning (apparently).
No no... I may be cynical, but it is obviously designed to look like the black hole is gone whilst really it is devouring the science lab and the government is trying to work out how to stop it!

I'd certainly second this. I browser one site where a java applet crashes firefox. It would be very useful to be able to disable java only on this site, instead of having to disable it for everything.
Having lived near Sellafield all my life i can tell you that it is not the furthest place you can live from anywhere in the UK. Have you even heard about Scotland! Sellafield is on the West coast of Cumbria and it may be remote but it employs over 20000 (if i remember correctly) people.
its not just visible light you can bend with these things (unlike magnifying glasses), if you make the rings the correct width you could focus any wavelength of light. E.g. microwaves:)
Your gonna need a pretty big mirror to do anything useful with(i.e be able to seperate to objects - resolve). I've done a few calculations (they are fairly basic, its been a while since i finished uni - physics and astronomy) and this is what i reckon.
To just resolve to points in space (ignoring earth completely here. The atmosphere will just screw us over.) 10m apart from a distance equivalent to 500 years ago requires a telescope with a diameter of 2.87*10^11m thats 1.92AU (1AU = distance from earth to sun).
Here are some other calculations:
For 10m resolving power
1 year ago, scope diam 5.73*10^8m (50 million km)
1000 years ago, scope diam 3.85AU
For 1000m resolving powver
1 year ago, scope diam 5700km
1000 years ago, scope diam 5.7 million km
For 6400000m resolving power (i.e to be able to see earth)
1 year ago, scope diameter 890m
1000 year ago, scope diameter 890km

lol!
It's short for St Cathrines!
or even http://users.ox.ac.uk/~scat1312/geek.html
I always thought http://users.ox.ac.uk/~scat1312/geek.html/ sums it up rather well.
Is it not supported by the aacraid driver in the kernel? I have an adaptec sata raid 2810sa card and it works fine under gentoo. DaClink
My mistake, I read http://www.britannica.com/eb/article?tocId=9063942 /
and assumed that premier = president.
He still did fairly well, but like you say he wasn't elected.
Usually, when he speaks, nobody understand him and that's why he didn't make it very high in politics.
He was president of France from 1988 to 1991, how much higher can you go!

On the up side he probably won't go on porn sites again!
