Thanks for the link, however it seems to be like all the other IM clients out there, where the conversation is turn based (ie it doesn't show what you have typed until you press enter). PowWow showed what was being typed in real time, with the ability to easily handle multiple participants.
Powwow chat by Tribal Voice is one app that died (was killed) way before its time.

No chat program has come close to the features and ease of use since (if anyone knows of one that does, please let me know).

It would be an interesting exercise for somebody to try and patent your idea as a test to how (in)effective the patent office really is.
