    Just installed Feisty Fawn on a D820 which I bought without windows and it's the first time both the Nvidia driver and the wireless worked out of the box and almost no configuration was required. Really enjoyed this feeling. Len

    From what I understand the drug was designed for something and now they have found it can be used to something different. Seems like an episode of Regenesis: "let's try all the known drugs maybe one has a side effect which does what we want". In that particular episode I think they found it so let's hope it will be the case here too. Len

  7. Wine on Enemy At The Water Cooler · · Score: 3, Funny

    In France they have a different approach. At lunch everybody takes a glass of wine and it's considered normal. Should replace the watter with wine and it will drastically reduce security threats :) Len

    Surely part of it it's true, but why not to ask more money for the software, if it needs to be rewritten to better handle new hardware and "security"? Five years later it seems it is still 32 bits and has drm inside. Sounds familiar? Len

  10. Simplify CSS development on CSS: The Definitive Guide · · Score: 1, Insightful

Checking that the CSS works in IE is taking lot of time and is the most frustrating not to mention that you have nothing like Web Developer or FireBug. What to loose your neurons, make your CSS work in IE, hack after hack. bGR@!#!@#! len

  12. Far fetched? on Ubuntu Studio Announced · · Score: 1

    They might have done some advancements in various aspects such as easy installing and various hardware detection (not that they are the first) but there are no elements yet to build such a project. Maybe a studio for the masses for basic photo editing but no way for professional stuff. I'll be happy at least to be able to edit or compress the mjpeg's from the digital camera in avidemux on ubuntu out of the box. Any improvement matters, good luck. Len

    In searching for a solution to this problem I could only find the following stupid rules which I can barrely apply:

    * rules
    o solve problems only as needed, do not jump as they occur
    o there will not be less problems later if you solve more now
    o use respiration to impose a rithm to the mind
    o control the way you let your mind follow scenarios
    + follow scenarios to clear your mind
    + follow scenarios as a logic operation
    o avoid recursive thinking
    o relaxation is a state of mind, nice surroundings are only triggers
    o some tasks lack of importance should discard them
