Maybe a stupid question, but as a non-american, what can someone do if they steal your SSN?
Here in Belgium we have pasports which also has a number on it, but I don't see how they can use that against me. I've never been asked for an ID except for police or a bank. So what's the gain then.

I think it's a two way deal. People will try and take advantage of people who are unaware of any holes in their sequrity... So people should be prepared, and the worms and the virusses will have less effect. If you don't know what you are doing, you should be out there and playing on the web. AND: Ignorance is not an excuse!!! be prepared, patch yourself;-)

JPG (max quality): 724 KB
JPG ZIP: 704 KB
So it looks that a JPG is better at compressing an immage than that ZIP is.
