seriously, I used IE for a while and got fed up with closing pop-ups and saying NO to installing INTERNET GAMBLING.EXE or PORNVIEWER.EXE. firefox is a breath of fresh air.
but where is the financial incentive for programmers? I love open source, and even though programmers contribute to the greater good of the world, how do you survive? I guess it's just one of those questions I never really got.
I work in a small medical device company writing java, and I could not imagine them using my software for free -- I need to eat too.
Does anyone remember the site "Leisure Town", in the episode Comedy Crises the main character takes all these Dilbert cartoons and adds his own text. he posted them all over his office and people just flipped out because the stuff was so raunchy and explicit. the Leisure town guy (in real life) was contacted by the Dilbert company's lawyers and he was forced to change the comics to stick figures or risk being sued. anyways, that was funny
you're kidding, right? Do we even want to waste the space listing off every instance of bigotry, close-mindedness, and intolerance from the current administration. Pull your head out of your ass...
I don't think it would be that hard. You just need electronic gyroscopes mounted in the headset to detect motion. Wired up right, it could actually be quite compact.
my new business card will have this, along with a super tight distro of linux mounted on a thin flash card. and it will have a 3d display and stuff and it will pwn all your paper business cards
you must understand, now is not the time for social experiments regarding the feasibility of >2 parties running for president. Making politcal stances is fine, I mean - I hate Bush and John Kerry is a douche bag (but im voting for him anyways.com), but it's not worth having Bush for another 4 years, because let's face it -- republicans are lemmings that hear nothing else and are much less likely to take independent stances. It's a sad state of affairs we live in now, but we free-minded people must band together a defeat this buffoon monster.
It's like they want people to move to firefox. Really, there's not a whole lot that makes IE better except the advanced technology that allows malicious programs to install themselves, and the great option for when it crashes, it takes your entire desktop with it.
I really don't understand people like you. Why is it that you people blindly follow everything the republicans say? In fact, I would say the majority of people voting for Bush who aren't in the top tax bracket or aren't a major corporation are one-dimensional lemmings who have no mind of their own and are content to accept the "party ideals" which have ALL been thrown out the window as of late.
http://www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhima nyway.com/ because most anybody is better than Bush. Even though john kerry is a douche bag, it's NOT the right time to play some social experiment and vote for a 3rd party. Because, let's face it, only free-minded people would consider voting for a 3rd party, which weakens our base as a whole against the republican lemmings. so just vote for john kerry please. god damnit...
yeah. some sort of box that plugs into your network and your router knows to forward the voip ports too. then the box has actual phone plugs for you phone and it makes a "call" when it recieves a voip connection.
voip will take over. Voice can be transmitted at such a low bandwidth, and all the cost to make a connection anywhere in the world is the cost of your ISP. I think they have them, but you need to have some sort of program always listening on a port from your IP, and transfer incoming calls to a usb connected phone that rings. Then you'd have all sorts of spam bots calling everyone's IP, so you'd have a list of approved incoming IP's or a numerical code that allows your call.
this party will never come to power because of our current voting system. the libertarianism ideas are so far from Democrats and Republicans, that the necessary changes to the voting system that would allow them to be contenders will never see the light of day. He nails it right on the head when he says they don't want to give up their shared monopoly. I disagree with his "wasted vote" comments. Any libertarian vote right now IS a wasted vote, there's no question. >2 party voting must start with a reform of the voting system. then you should consider other parties. But for now, get rid of the puppet and puppeteer in office because it's despicable what they've done.
close. I'd say Cheney is Dark Vader, and Bush is Jar Jar Binks.
cry me a river. go tell that to the single mom raising 5 kids and barely able to make rent.
that Bush had no say in any of his answers. Else all we would hear is "It-it-it's hard work."

I almost spit out my sandwich too. That was really funny.

they're helpless to pay $8 to see a movie in the theater?

now all we need to do is send a giant robot armed with machine guns and an AI "hunting" mode and some M&M's that defy the laws of physics.
Right, the movie manifested into existence all by itself. I can't wait to become rich and famous when a blockbuster movie lands right in my lap.
he's an entertainer. if you don't like his entertainment, then don't "shove money down Lucas's throat."
...as opposed to putting the money into, say, cancer research.
