Aluminum stretches when it bends. It's almost impossible to straighten a seriously bent aluminum part.

Aluminum also age hardens. 50 year old Al cars are brittle. Their panels crack if a person leans on them too hard. Which matters because 50 year old Al cars are rare and very expensive (e.g. AC Cobras).

  4. This is what the Democrats lost this cycle. Now it's just pot meet kettle.

Four years ago, there was a perceived difference between WaPo, NYT and Breitbart, Fox news etc. Now they are just obviously the opposite sides of the same coin.

How many years did it take the NYTimes to build a reputation? All gone, spent to serve Hillary's ambition. Gone forever.

Do you see the 'all day fox news watchers'? That's you, WaPo/NYT/MSNBC believers.

All they need is one video that proves she lies and she is gone.

  9. The feds simply can't afford to enforce pot laws. And they can't find jurors willing to convict in 99% of cases.

In CA, asshole DAs have been forced (by the voters) to get honest jobs after trying bullshit like you describe.

  10. Bullshit. The last Democrat national politician to support legalization was Carter. He dropped it in his first year. Since then, nothing.

If anything, it's generational. Young republicans are as likely to support legalization as young democrats.

  12. Only one layer of excess oversized boxes...pikers.

I believe it's the Register that keeps a excessive packaging hall of shame. HP shipped a piece of paper with a license key in a typical software box. That was packaged in a more or less typical for Amazon shipping box (big enough for a large book), which was in turn packaged in a large cardboard box, big enough for a medium sized appliance like a microwave.

    The whole thing was overnighted.

I fixed it with duct tape over the power switch ('server' was a desktop, AT power supply). Wrote 'touch this and die' on it in sharpie. Arranged to have 'server closet' locked, which was good for cutting down dust as well.
