You should go to www.nealstephenson.com and read NS comments on the length of his novels. It explains quite well his reasons for adding in all of the detail. Go to the author section and select verbosity.
I would also suggest since Pearl Jam refused to do videos for the following albums, excluding do the Revolution, There wasn't any exposure on the blossoming TRL. People always like Ten because it was there first album and had a much different sound for that time. I wonder what people would say about new Nirvana albums if Cobain hadn't killed himself. I'm sure people would always say Nevermind was the best nirvanna album, though I think In Utero was just as good.
When music is popular its popular for that time and people will always like it a litte more than anything that comes after it.
I agree aabout the holiday special. I remember watching it when it was first on, at the time I thought it was cool being 6. I recently watched it and the only part that is redeeming is the cartoon where we have Boba Fett originally introduced. It is actually pretty funny and almost a paridy.
As for the ewok movies if your a little kid they are actually enjoyable considering that is the type of audience they are written for, kids love cute stuff.
I agree I was lucky enough to see it in the theater. I was ten but have a mom who really loves sci fi movies. I like the voiceover version. I believe it enhances the movie. I also have a copy taped from cable with the voiceover and the gory scene when Batty kills Tyrel.
If the general consensus id that he sucks so much. Why do so many people comment on every one of the articles he writes. If he sucks than they should just set their preferences so they never see his features. I think most people bash Katz because they think it's the in thing to do on Slashdot or they just don't have their own ideas that or commentaries to come up with.
TO get technical "The Black Hole" came out in 1979. Though it was a flop financially, it really is a rather dark movie for a Disney film. Especilly the scene near the end where where the mad scientist character Dr Zarkov and the robot Maximillian merge. There is also a scene that looks like a funeral procession in Hell.

So why don't you tell us what you really think? If you don't like the movies you can always go make your own.
