I hear you all saying that google will be able to generate surfing habbits and sell this data
but, this principle will be based on users installing a plugin.
In my experience business models requiring a browser plugin never last.
So how could google look to create a long term viable business model out of this?
useless drivel

answer a question with another question!!!
bbc news http://news.bbc.com/ provides its content via the bbc licence fee, I as a UK citizen have to pay my licence fee, and for this I get a quality news site, the bbc news site was rated 7th most used site.
For every one outside of the uk they get a free site.
I believe a licence fee for tv channels is unique to the uk (not a subscription fee which is different)
The tv, radio and web sites are all advert free though
A couple of years ago after getting a web site up and running I managed the ongoing development of this busy site, the site requrired registration
One morning I opened up a sql script file in quury Analyser, I thought I had opened DailyTask.sql, what I had opened was DropAll.sql, which contained the sql to drop all tables, I ran the sql and sat there looking at the commands and thought "that doesn't look right"
I then started to panic, I couldn't even think about what to do, all nueral functions no longer worked, I was able to restore the data from the daily backups but we lost the mornings registrations, funnily enough we never got any phone calls or emails from irate customers.
I think you'll find that Tesco are responsible for £1 in every £5 spent on food, not £1 in every £5
How professional their site looked in 2003 *cough http://web.archive.org/web/20030403045220/http://a tomchip.com/
obviously you don't actually understand how quantum computing works
