The most well known language that does not change is latin (it is a dead language) English however is constantly changing and evolving. This is not to say that we still need certain standards but lets just say it would be quite difficult to describe how a computer functions if we still used english as it was known in the 1590's (Shakespeare's era).
If Bush would have won the election by 12% you know what they would have called it?
A LANDSLIDE.
(now no bush bashing- everyone does good at one time or another, yes even Hitler)
Mod me +5 Troll and give me some Carrot Ale damnit!
I disagree. As of right now, we do not understand how memory is even stored. After a time the synapse's distance grows and the nurans are no longer used for a spicific memory. Thus the memory should be no longer accessable... BUT IT IS. What happens? We dont know. It could move to a diffrent part of the brain but then again we have found no "instructions" on where to move it.
I never downloaded anything before all the news about the MPAA and RIAA, infact I didnt even own a computer. But when I heard how frickin gutty it is to download and share on the net... i went out and bought myself a 300,000 doller server just so I could download and share all my downloaded media. I feel like such a rebal now. Its the biggest rush. I tell ya. Everyone that downloads/ uploads stolen stuff on net (especialy via bit torrent) feels the same as I do. If the MPAA/RIAA would use there computers to start distributing stolen stuff then everyone would stop. Its basic economics... flood the market and no one will try to get any of it.
Oh Oh.... I think we found were that 157 million bucks for M$ advertizing went. Not only are they targeting bloggers, NOW they got to some/. ers too.:) C'mon, seriously what is the diffrence between M$ when they began and Google now? As I see it they took simaler pathes (well, google was actualy not stolen ideas packaged as a "new" product, unlike M$) They both have become successful very fast from improvements made on existing technology. At one time or another they were both the underdogs. One just seems to have more fun then the other.
In the fight against the **AA's one or two articles will not do a whole lot when the **AA's are in the spotlight all the time "informing" the public about the evils of user controlled information. If there is a consitent outcry from regular people that are not being sued by the **AA's then mabey we would get somewere. Im not advocating the theft of software, however the **AA's are way out of line.
How much importaint stuff does need to protect on his computer? Usualy kids have a game or two, list of MSN addy's, and some school work on the computer. At home the guy prolly has credit card# financial information, personal projects and that's about it. If he is going to go crazy securing his computer (digital info) than he should be X2 as paranoid protecting the PHYSICAL information. I suggest having his credit card implanted in his skin, 8 security gaurds at his side at ALL times, satalite survalence. The card should be encrypted in egyptian 2048 bit encryiption hyroglifics and to use his card he must submit a fingerprint, voice, and dna samples along with a urine test.
How are quotes any diffrent? Does the newspaper have to ask permission to publish something that someone said? How is it diffrent... seriously I want to know.
Is the RIAA a government run establishment? Where do they get their power and athority from? Does the recording industry pay them to do its bidding or what?
This comes as a surprise? People with a higher IQ tend to find that things come easier to them. Thus they do not deal with stress on a regular basis. When stress levels rise beyond what they are accustomed to (self induced stress caused from perfectionism) It's circuit overload. "Normal" people have to deal with stress regularly to accomplish a task. Thus they are more accustomed to it and can readily adapt.
I don't see car manufacturers taking any measures for making sure that there products are not used for such things as get away cars and a weapon to run people over with...
One believes in the natural adaptation process of all living organisms but also believes that God created all of this. He cannot understand why but the concept of time is proof enough for him (there is a beginning and end to everything, why not a beginning and end to this universe) He believes that when he passes away that he will be taken to be with his God in heaven.
The Second man believes that religion is stupid and irrational. He cannot understand it and science has not been able to fully explain it either (by the way there is evidence that God does exist http://www.godandscience.org)
The consequences for the two men's beliefs if the first man is right: the first guy goes to heaven for eternal bliss... the second man goes to visit Bill Gates for eternity.
The consequences for the two men if the second guy is right: there corpses just rot away as usual.
Now just to be safe wouldn't you want to be the first man... you have nothing to loose right?
Similarly, you can have as many security layers as you wish but if you forget to weld the back end of the safe or network on than they still do nothing for security... your only as secure as your weakest point of security.
Ah But Will It Work With Beer?

Sweet, I can now kill people without a trial or jury if I see them perform a crime.
So I should be punnished more for stealing a Farrari than a handa? Or how about killing a homeless guy compared to a rich guy?

I have a scenario.
Two men...
