You can use it as a backbone in a building. And in a few years, it will be less then enough for the common user. Remember...over time...most programs get bigger.
Remember back in the day, when someone would have a 10Mb switch, and it was amazing? And 100Mb switches were over the top? Well, now 1Gb switches are amazing, and 10Gb switches are over the top.
To me, this means online games can run better(provided ISPs upgrade there backbones as well...past whatever they are).
P.S.-Yes, I know ISPs backbones are more then enough now, but I was stating for future.
I think keeping the information closer to where it is used is much better. They could simply have a card with a persons ID#, and then when they go...they put the card in, give and iris and fingerprint scan. That way we don't have to worry about it being hacked.
I believe every programmer knows that giving variables to the client are less safe then keeping them on the server, even beginners such as myself.
...as much as I love the internet, and new technologies...interent on cell phones is too small to do anything with!
I mean..it's great if you wanna...uhm...uhh...
oh wait! it's not great, it sucks!
But people, seriously...if you want to get on the internet so badly...don't leave your house
There is no need to sqiont at a little tiny screen that wont even display anything right.
Yes..the evil of all machines
the reason why when the AC is not on in my house, and it is 90degrees outside, my computer resets
and of course..the reason why we're not going quad core
well..at least that's my personal opinion...as for the real reason...probally for profit...
I think that turning everything in the world electronic...is really bad news...it could easily be rigged...example:
if($vote = "Bush"){
$BushVote = $BushVote + 2;
}elseif($Vote = "Lieberman"){
$LievermanVote++;
}
return $DeathToWorld;
No one said it was using coper cable.

I think this is going to make a lot more people donate, because it has double benefits.
We've heard it before...history repeats itself.
First Apply...and now AltaVista
I wonder if they've stolen stuff from any other company.

Well, they could be doing this all as a beta, could they not?
By limiting who can get it, and where it is used...it becomes more secure. Also, it's easier to find bugs.

..unless I was raised completely wrong...I believe that you first learn to understand before you learn to speak and reason
the universe or even the Internet doesn't revolve around America.
Yes but the WWW does! ICANN.org
And what if they make a mistake and block someone who just happens to send a lot of mail?
Is there a place to appeal?...as good as this could be, I think it's going to inconvenience a lot of people.
..you do realize you just /.ed yourself, right?
But I must say...that is a nice accomplishment, I'll definetly learn a lot from looking at the script.
