    This is borderline "everyone needs to move to the city" thought.

    You would need a massive shift of people from all over the world to make this feasible. Places where food can't be grown easily (desert, extreme northern regions, etc), or where certain food can't be grown at all (I can't grow citrus in here in Indiana.)

    Sorry, point blank it's not going to happen. As we move to bio-fuels, farming is going to become even more important. Also, locally grown food is not possible for people who live in large cities like New York, or LA. You simply can't support that many people with the land area that is immediately surrounding the cities.

    Is it unreasonable to ask me to move to the city? Yes it is.

    I care. I love sports, I watch sports and I play sports. I care if my opponent is cheating. God forbid that people do or watch something that is fun and makes you feel good. So what, it's fun and it makes me feel good.

    They destroyed and changed IP logs. They went thread-by-thread on their forums and hand changed posts. They deleted whole threads and hid others.

    Obviously deliberate.

    No. While that makes no sense, one bad/dumb comment or action does not invalidate everything else.

    but from what I read, they did destroy evidence which they clearly aren't allowed to do. Sounds like bad decisions on the part of Torrentspy led to this.

    Maybe if they left things as they were they could have fared better.

    Oh yea, I forgot to add that the electric fuel pump is itself submerged in fuel to keep it cool. It's not a fully sealed unit either.

    Oh course when you run your tank low the pump is above the fuel level.

    Unless they have changed something very recently (in the last couple of years), the guage controlling unit is inside the tank, wires and all. The only thing outside is the plug to go into the wiring harness. I've changed plenty of sending units.

    The wires for your electric fuel pump are inside the tank too.

    No, I *need* a truck because I haul stuff. I *need* a truck because I commonly pull a 5k lb trailer.

    Oh yea, they don't plow the roads here (ever), unless the farmers do it with their equip. So I do use 4wd.

    I know you can run IIS with it, but it's still not a server OS.

    Seriously people, if you don't want to be bothered at home, make it clear. My company had no problem with that. Turn off the company phone/blackberry/whatever or at least stand your ground. Granted I don't work in IT so I don't know what common policies are like=, but I am on call, during certain hours. If they call outside of those hours, they will get a polite no (they have never tried).

    re-calculate this with the headlights, windsheild wipers on. for fun try adding the radio into the mix. i'm not stopping every 30-45mins.

    on my trip from home to college, i have a one hour stretch with no gas stations of any kind (this is on an interstate), good luck getting a charging station.

    I never said it was meant be to a server, I was saying it's not. It's better for networking but it's not a server.

    Funny, but you're wrong. Pro is for networking enviorments where you need RDP, policies, ability to join a domain, file encryption, etc. Home lacks these.

    I don't work in IT, but I would love to have a job at the south pole. Snow and cold any idea of hot weather. How people can stand heat I have no idea.

    I'm thinking about moving to Alaska after I pay down some of my student loans. I have some relatives that live there and they love it.

    I'm well aware of this, thats why it's never on except when download a torrent. It's only fired up once or twice a month and only for a few hrs. I really don't download much.

    This has nothing to do my being green, it's about saving money.

    I've been running PC's for 12 years. The only part I have ever had fail is a hard drive. I keep hardware an average of 4 years.
