but for graphics instensive, CPU optimized code like games, it would take a hell of a lot of CPU horse power
I don't know how much it would need but I would expext the XB2 to actually *have* a hell of a lot of CPU power. If it does, could it run it (I know nothing, how much do you mean by a hell of a lot) and if it doesn't, why are people going to buy it?
Exactly, the people who will lose most will be those with new devices. Take, for example, the idea that people may share their computer time with each other so that lots of computers can be used to do the work of one. Whoever has the fastest computer helps others the most but gains the least!
The uneveness in F1 is now appauling, I've seen only two of the races this year whereas in 2002 I didn't miss any of them. Having a sport so unbalanced like this can't be any good for the people who run it as they will be losing viewers and therefore money from sponsors. Hopefully the FIA will restrict the use of computers and telemetry and give lower teams a chance.
The PSP is going to have better graphics and hardware capability than the DS, maybe even as good as a PS2 but if it has such great capabilities, users will want games that make full use of the features that they've payed for so PSP games will have to be PS2 quality and therefore made on a PS2 game budget. If GT4 comes out on PS2 and PSP, will you be prepared to pay $80 to have it on both consoles? And if not, would you rather have it on a PS2 on a 20" tv or the PSP with inferior controls and a 5" screen?
