Unfortunately this isnt a problem with the mastering engineers. Its more that the producer says to heck with the dynamic range, this album must be the loudest ever and if the engineer wants to get more work he pretty much has to listen. There was in fact a sequel to Startropics. Startropics 2: Zoda's Revenge was released in 1994 on the NES. It was nearly as good as the original game.
