I see hordes of Mexicans outside home depot on my way to work everyday willing to work for several dollars an hour and I feel bad for the honest carpenters and construction workers.

    *sidebar*

I went to Home Depot to get moving boxes Saturday. I live in San Diego, 10 miles from the border. What did I see when I went to Home Depot? 25 men standing at the entrance of the lot with their thumbs out looking for work. 10 were obviously Hispanic. 4 were of African descent (unknown if they were American, as there are a LOT of black people here not FROM here - Somalia, Ethiopia, Niger, etc). 3 were Southeast Asian, I couldn't tell which part, could have been Indian or Indonesian, I can't make that deference by driving by. But no. There were 6 white guys standing there looking for work too. The rest were a mix that I couldn't discern just by looking at them, they could have been Hispanic, but didn't look it... not my call. So, yeah... I'd say that views are changing, and there are a lot of hungry mouths to go around. :(

Sadly... I did hear someone offer to hire a bunch of them for $8.00 an hour (above minimum wage). Said offer was turned down and they waited for the next sucker that would pay them more. Now *that's* sad. Sorry, when it comes time for me to pack/unpack my moving van out of this hellhole? I'll be paying a COMPANY to do it and keeping the economy proper... not undercutting it in the grey slave trade. *snort* Which is why I'll be bribing my friends with food, beer and goodies instead! :D I'll spend more, but the loyalty is forever. :D Not to mention that they *owe* me and my hubby after all the years we've spent moving them around. :P

Just keep watching American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, folks.... the Nation will still be here when your kids grow up unable to go to college because it's full of Mexican nationals paying in-state tuition!

And King Shrub announced this morning that US highways will now be open to Mexican trucks. LOVELY. More death traps to kill innocent American children in mom & dad's SUV.

I've been talking this crap until I'm blue in the face... called every dirty name in Spanish and English, and all the while... they just keep shoving it all through, without regards to Americans. And *EACH TIME*, I've been right. I really hate those I Told You So words... I really really do.

I live 10 miles from Tijuana right now... crime is skyrocketing, prices are even worse, and I can't throw a rock without hitting La Raza or whatever activists. Funny thing that... my forefathers drew first blood from Santa Ana in 1836. I'm really glad my grandfather (a Texas Marshal til the day he died) didn't live to see this abberation.

And yes, I do place this squarely on King Shrub's head. How many illegals does HE employ? I just want my country back. Alas, it is not to be. :( So, I am leaving Southern California for the mountains of Colorado...where the infection is almost as bad, but at least I can retreat into my cave in the mountains and watch the world fall apart from the safety of my own land. Unless they give that to the Mexicans too..

They even went so far as to openly attack me about my marriage to a disabled veteran husband, literally telling me that "if he can walk, he can work, and you need to kick his ass to it". Did I mention it was in front of *everyone* in the Data Center?

Envy is evil, in all of it's forms. But it's only in the last 4 years that I've been the object of it for my talent rather than my beauty. It's had some very bad effects on my physical person. But... I'm hopefully out of here in a month or so... depending my latest round of interviews I'm being flown out for. :D

All that being said, I have continued to maintain the high road. Just because my direct coworkers hate me doesn't mean that I should look bad to other teams or upper management. It just would reflect badly upon me, something I seriously do not want.
