Perhaps you could post what evidence you have to support your comment about the last election being rigged by the Republicans. I hear many people say this like it is fact, but I never see any proof. That lefty liberal house organ, the New York Times, went over the results for six months after the Supreme court ruled, and they couldn't even spin up something worthy to print. And that is saying something from the organization that allowed Jason Blair to disgrace their pages. Remember, also, it was the Dems that wanted to throw out the votes from the armed service folks who voted overseas. Kind of hard to take the high ground when you try to discount the votes of the people who are risking their lives for our country. Put up or shut up, I am still waiting for some real facts on how the Reps stole the election in Dem controlled counties. I wake up every morning and thank God that Al Gore didn't win the last election, I mean have you seen the speeches he has been giving lately, his new style reminds me of that short Austrian house painter...

The problem with your point here is "relativity". Perhaps from a "ultra-liberal" view (as viewed from my point of view), you cannot see the bias. But, from my view, the vast majority of the American media does have a liberal bias. Also, I am sure most large countries, view themselves differently than how the rest of the world views them. No big suprise there. France would be a good example here.

I am quite happy that the NYT doesn't show well on general search engines, and I certainly would not register (free or not) to gain access to it. The former home of Jason Blair is no place to be doing any serious reading. Just my two-cents.

I care. One of the things I, personally, like about Sci-Fi is when a writer creates a world/universe and then makes sure the story stays within those bounds. For me, a story/movie loses credibility when inconsistencies, no matter how small, start popping up. In this case I consider artistic license a lazy way out. Just my 2 cents.

My current employer pays for my broadband at home, after hours support is a job requirement. My last employer would not, but still required after hours support. (That's one reason they are no longer my "current" employer.) I think anyone who needs to do regular after hours support should have their home service covered by their employer.

Yikes, I just checked out the FAIR website and, while I only looked at a few stories, the article where they state they found no proof that NPR has a left leaning bias, shocked me. They used the frequency of appearance to try and prove their point. This is clearly a slight of hand and a clever spin. Sure George Bush has appeared more than most other US pols, but what really matters, is what spin did they put on it. I am going to continue to review the site, but my first impression is that FAIR is as fair as Michael Moore.
