I didn't actually get around to finishing Trace Memory, but I enjoyed it a lot, as did my wife (which struck me as strange since she doesn't normally play too many games, but I can blame her for my addiction to Pokemon). I find it very refreshing as I am now finding myself shying away from twitch and gore games and looking for a deeper storyline. My only gripe with trace memory was that the puzzles were too simple, but if you realize that it's not about the puzzle and instead about the story, you can find something really worth your time...
ESPN broadcasts poker, spelling bees, and even scrabble. If they can be profitable, I'm positive video game tournaments can be too.
I know, they keep beating out the America's Cup (and Louis Vuitton)... They didn't even cover all the races last time. Obviously Scrabble is more profitable than sailing...
The big "but" that you left unstated is that they can't fall into the trap that the newly restarted Family Guy has found - rehash all the old jokes ad naseum. What was funny as an original joke will always be funnier as a running gag! What a bunch of morons. Running gags only work when you tie their hands and put a handkerchief in their mouth... oh wait, that was the Muppet Show...
Myself for one (Original series Star Trek, Original Series Outer Limits, X-Files, Dr. Who, Firefly (but I didn't watch it when it came out), etc.). My wife, for another (Friends, Futurama, Simpsons, etc.).
Of course we only have DVD's, no cable or satellite.
What's sad about this is that I still need to use IE on MAC to make silly things work on Disney's website and a couple other places. I love web standards...
Yes, look at how effective the tech-savvy population has been in affecting other online institution's practices... Oh wait, the average dumb computer-user still outpopulates (and breeds quicker)
I don't know. I did have the ghostbusters theme on my T-mobile phone until it died. That was certainly worth $0.99 to me... I thought that was pretty cool.
What's really sad is that I didn't even pause or pnder what this quote was or which episode it's from (not that I'd know the episode number, it's just the one about the planet where Picard had to try and communicate with the guy and... well, a vague description.) I haven't watched TNG in a couple years, yet I've still needlessly burdened neurons with useless information.
Me neither, plus I found 1.0.3 to be decidedly unstable when compared to every other previous version that I've used (since before 1.0 at least). I think I'm going to wait a day and make sure the important extensions I have don't die again, anyway.
Well, I think the new site is a good parody. I particularly appreciate the Labor Bingo Game that invites you to go through the store and attempt to find items from various third-world countries so that you can scratch them off on your Bingo card.
I just hope the game of Bingo isn't copyrighted...

What about Septuple-A?
Wow, that reminds me of the hive-mind snake lawyers from Schlock Mercenary. Great web comic, btw.
OK, that wasn't the comic where they explain the Attorney Collective, but you can read through a few days if you care.
Watch out, they have finally gone completely nuts and are going to start shooting!
I'm glad I'm not the only person who read this that way...

Here's how you fix that: NMCI Required Network-Wide Password Reset
First one, then the other.
Sorry, couldn't resist...

Well, some of us are too lazy to use other news sources....
You see ads in your browser? That's strange, I thought Firefox fixed that bug.

Wow. We really do live in the world of Harrison Bergeron...
Final Fantasy Online does this, you can play from a PS2 or a PC.

I've found that the difference between a bug and a feature is almost always point of view. At least where I work.
