Well it's not like it just randomly picks a security image for you. You have to set one of your choosing on their site. They set a cookie (I believe), so the image is only good for the particular computer you are on. But phishing sites are unable to retrieve the cookie to display the image.
Aaah, if it's so obvious to everyone on Slashdot why doesn't it hit the news in places? Why can't this actually be exposed to the general public.
Lame.
I'm no expert, but sometimes it seems like they may be doing more than throttling. I don't know what the type of filtering Comcast is doing looks like, but when using encrypted BT I find that my entire internet connection is dying. I'm unable to access my router's interface locally either. I don't know what that means but it seemed very different to me.
Is there a relatively easy check to see if the connection is being tampered with like what Comcast does?
I run XP on my desktop, so I don't know if this is relevant. I've had three different video cards (all fairly modern; Nvidia FX5200, Nvidia 6600GT, and ATI 9200), and S3 has always worked perfectly for me.
Besides the fact that you didn't understand what he was asking...the end.
He meant, his was older than the new ones that now have it.
At least, that's all I got out of it.;D
Just to add my two cents... I was reading the front page article (again, I had already read the thing in this post), the section where cypher's summing up the lawsuit or whatnot. That Pfeiffer guy says, well, we spent all this money developing the game, it's illegal for people to edit the code. That doesn't really make sense to me. Isn't that like taking some publishers magazine, crossing out a word you didn't like and replacing it, and reading it that way. So they decide to sue you, since they spent money producing that magazine, and you aren't allowed to enjoy it the way you want. Now, I can see if they rewrote some articles and starting selling it at the newstand, but that's not what's happening here.
Ah, but think how nice it would be for your wonderful company, if they could paint your building with it and you'd get the benefits of it. Or something.

Sounds about right.
Wish I still had my mod points.

That was too long for me to read so I just clicked past it.

So yeah. The end.
