The Nader Factor

This is just recapping the article. Personally, I've been conflicted about Nader. As a registered Dem, I've seen him speak, I like what he has to say and even have a signed book of his. The fact is that, aside from people who wouldn't otherwise vote, Nader supporters are mostly Democrats, disenfranchised though they may be. I don't fault Nader for running, hey it's a free country. But he's a dreamer who's real effect is going to help Bush, which is why Reps have been more helpful to him than Dems. We know both parties are corporate whores, but by indirectly enlisting the aid of the bigger whore, Nader's shit starts to stink by proxy.
Reading all this crap about the 2000 election really pisses me off, until I have to start laughing about it. Honesty, flipping a coin would have been more democratic than that nonsense in Florida. Personally, I'd call Heads for Gore and Tails (or Asses) for Bush.
I'd mistakenly read the article originally as having "waned to 10 or 15 percent," but upon closer inspection the article does read "waned 10 to 15 percent." Not sure I'd have thought to post on/. for such a small wane. In any event, my apologies for the honest mistake.

I agree, mushrooms are much nicer than acid. Though I haven't taken either in over 10 years, were I to indulge again I'd opt for the 'shrooms. The key difference between them: mushrooms let you down easy whereas the burnout on acid is exhaustive and drawn-out. Another difference: mushrooms have lots of little ups & downs whereas acid has one big up & one big down. Simply put, 'shrooms are more natural whereas acid is more chemical. I'm surprised to see a thread like this on SD. To think, I check out tech forums to distance myself from acid-heads.
