    Truely free software is released into the public domain with no strings attached.
    Until somebody takes it up and makes it proprietary. And that's why we have the GPL.

    Actually, before Webster's dictionary, everybody spelled everything however the hell they wanted. It was only after Webster, and later Oxford, came into play that we got this.

    I've never had any problems with either ext2 or ReiserFS that were filesystem problems rather than hardware problems or really weird kernel bugs.

    Countability. If it weren't controlled by companies with a vested interest in rigging e-voting would be much superior to paper voting because a mistake in counting would be much less likely. When people ask for a paper trail they really mean an audit trail which could be done fully electronically too.

    Open Source devs aren't "script kiddies". You're conflating the two definitions of hacker. Although your sig reminds me of something else I saw in a sig: "The problem with Wikipedia is that it only works in practice. In theory, it'll never work."
