I use my router's URL Blocking feature to hide most ads on sites. For example, if I add googlesyndication.com to the list, I don't see google ads on any site I go to.
I went to buy a new dvd-r drive from my local computer store and they advised me to wait until December because that's when Blu-Ray will be out. They sounded pretty confident that December was the release date.
"French police have at least temporarily shut down Youceff Torrents, one of the largest torrent sites and recently listed in Slyck's Top 10 SuprNova Alternatives.
Arjan, the site administrator, was given no warning. The first signs came Monday afternoon when the site went offline. The hosting company initially said it was due to an electrical fault.
This morning, Arjan received and e-mail explaining that the servers had in fact been deliberately terminated and the police where on scene. Slyck spoke to a rather nervous Arjan, who explained that the police would find nothing on the servers but torrent files. He does not host any FTP servers or warez.
Arjan does not live in France, or believe he has done anything wrong, but he is naturally apprehensive that the local police will make a visit to his door."

This one is really bad... not to long ago I purchased some hard drives for my computer. It has a True-460w PSU. I added the hard drives, instantly frying the 2 new ones, and my 120gb drive filled with all my precious data.
I went back to the store and got them returned thankfully and got 2 new ones, which was then the technition proceeded to figure out what the problem was. He added one, worked fine, added the second - and blam those 2 drives also fried. (Capacitor shot off the circuit board on the drive and smoked like crazy each time.) This also eliminated all case lights, except for the HD one.:)
LESSON: IF YOUR CASE HAS SLOTS FOR STUFF - IT DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN FILL EVERY SINGLE ONE!! (Apparently 6 case fans, 6 pci cards, 9800XT, 5 hard drives, cathode light, cd-rw, dvd-rw was too much. Lesson learned.)
Wow, that's rather unexpected... my house is actually on that map for the house in BC.

I went and found 2 Deskstar's that I still have, got all excited, told some friends... then I read that it's for USA only. That really blows.
