I still use facetime to talk with my niece regularly, as I am a busy geek facetime makes it easy for me to pick up the ipad and chat with her.
I do however wish apple would get off their high horse and offer it for different devices. Since I absolutely dislike using my wifes ipad and rather use an android tablet or linux box with a webcam. But for that I use tango:)

I think you doubt the "want it now" factor.
I know quite a few occasions when a savvy user was faked into clicking the close button on a browser window and the browser launched an escalation attack and injected it's own app and infected the system.
And yet my family in colombia are having their accounts emptied by thieves who always find a way around anything magnetic based.
My card with it's number generator has been fine. It is so common down there that they actually have a number you call when you have used the card in what they consider a "shady" place.

China is not going to give in easily , more then likely they will agree to some agreement that allows them to do what they want , and then cut production to fall under the line and keep doing what they want.

The us needs to figure out how to bring production and industry back within our borders , or we suffer the fate of becoming the 3rd world countries we currently abuse. The Brazilians are building an alternative fuel future , to power south america soon. The russians are buying up "profitalbe" companies, which eventually will not be profitable if no one here is working and unemployment slips into the 15 % range. And will become a power house when debt collection comes. They have oil , enough to power Europe for quite some time.
Industrious nations who are producing items that are real are doing ok without us dollars. Colombia, Venezuela, most of SA is fine. Europe is going to end up hurting like the us as well , they let IP become a foundation. As long as nations like China and others ignore IP then the nations producing the IP are destined to fail. They need to generate IP and manufacture it as well. Which we need to learn how to do with out damaging the planet like China.

It took me 3 days to find a motorola cell phone here to use , I refuse to buy the chinese knock off iphone for $50 , the psiphones run android but are made to look like an iphone and run like utter garbage.
I'd say the same but there are sites like Legalzoom.com and such that offer it for a price. I wonder if they have the same issue ? I honestly don't know but I wonder if they have a disclaimer us OSS people could use as well to protect us from this sort of thing.
We have quad cores and dual cores now , cpu usage is heavily taxed with usb 3 not as heavy as with usb 2 but I consider the cpu usage next to even since the new procs all have better performing cores per clock and the usb driver is tighter coded for this particular chipset. But I have only played with this in short bursts.
esata still uses less cycles , and they are almost the same speed in reality on the drives we played with. I do look forward to usb 3 flash drives and sata 6 ssd's if they can get the flash speed up , would make it easier on me when I have to reboot my windows box twice a day.
you would be able to see the chip but not the contents , you still need the chemicals and info to lift the secudity screens and disable the uv sensors. Although with enough smart cards and enough patients that would probably be cheaper then having a lab rip it apart.

Seems to work very well on my Sony Xperia r800x perhaps , you don't have the updated kernel that has support for this ?
I have had this working for over a year now, on both my sony and my moto droid. kernel 2.3 and 2.2 respectively.

They are both ip based , which is evident on the bill , if you ever screw up and use it on a phone without the data plan.
Had you bothered to check facts , v-cast is not powered by media flow , and niether is "mobile tv".
There is actually a tv app that uses media flow , the 2 are just video on demand type services over ip to the handset.
