1. If it was powerful enought to cause blindness in a STREAK across the inside of your eye from probably less than half a second of exposure it'd also be bright enough to easily see who was holding it 2. If they were far enough away you couldn't see who was dicking around with it then the beam would probably be nearly impossible to hold still long enough to cause that level of damage, especially since the damage is in a continuous streak instead of a single spot (which would also be nearly impossible) 3. If it was powerful enough to cause that level of damage in a massive wiggly line during a quick glance up the street and far enough away you couldn't see who was holding it then it'd have to be so insanely powerful that it would also have scorched the outside of your eyeball as well as your face.
ghz hasn't been the best indicator of a processor since EVER, different processors at different speeds perform differently. A 2.6ghz athlon would wipe the floor with a 2.6ghz dualcore pentium and both would be completely thrashed by a 2.6ghz core 2 duo.
Intel's naming is not confusing at all to anyone that should be looking at it to begin with, which is to say everything at least as intelligent as a spoon of yeast.
except that I had difficulty doing any one thing at a time from pretty much the 1st grade and didn't work out my multitasking system until middle school. But hey, lets make baseless generalizations because we envy the skills of another group of people.
I've never actually had a problem with this. If anything I've had difficulty doing any one thing at a time and did better when switching between a few every so often.
While I word certainly love to have a 24 inch 4:3 trinitron there is a limit to how far I'm looking to tilt my head up and down to use a monitor. The sheer width of a 24 incher is already past my comfort point.
Why is it that everyone claiming that bioshock really IS all that is good and right in a game ignores the arguments against that position that actually have substance. Things like the DRM clusterfuck and bloody wierd mouse controls, tallscreen FOV, and the player character's lack of impact on the world. Did anyone ever figure out how on earth the sensitivity manages to slowly change over time after loading and saving?
That would require the assumption that the punching bag is a perfect replica of a real human to the point that the 3 year old can't tell the difference.
Put a 3 year old in a room with a punching bag shaped like a person and have an adult walk in and punch it. The 3 year old will learn it is okay to hit punching bags. Take that 3 year old and put him in another room with a real person that looks just like the punching bag. The 3 year old will not punch the person because the person is not a punching bag that LOOKS like a person.
Call it the Magic Circle Effect, or Context, or even Loretta's Green Biscuit of +1 Trousers if you want. As long as someone is capable of telling the difference between reality and a videogame they won't learn to kill people from playing Crysis. If someone can't tell the difference... well, they shouldn't be outside of a padded room to begin with, what on earth are they doing playing videogames.
I can live with absurdly poor "Stellar Communications" TV, I can't deal with the bullshit that Embarq makes us put up with. It's annoying that we get horrible reception on most channels and lose it entirely in even slightly breezy weather but the internet is just unusuable.
And if I were to suggest that every channel has an absurd liberal slant you would probably praise me for seeing the world as it really is. I'm not perfectly normal ANYWHERE. I gave that one up when I started thinking instead of relying on excuses like media bias and outsourcing my free will to politics.
I can't turn on the news without hearing about how computers are the devil, videogames cause violence, homosexuality is a disease, and how people are getting jumped in alleyways by roving bands of immigrants and having their jobs pulled right out of their pockets.
Ever consider that maybe the real problem is that the only way for a (normal) news outlet to get decent ratings is to pander to trolls that use words like "dumocrap" or "republicrap" and think of themselves as a republican/democrat first and an American second?
Heres the real question, if they see the robotic deer appears to be grieviously injured could they say they were attempting to put down a mortally wounded animal?
AWP bought, noobs pwned, whine more!
Obviously, the dog is on fire.
Dynamic pricing, hmm... underground deagle market!
I came, I pwnt, they whined.
Unstoppable, Excellent, Kicked By Console. cultureshock. (okay I cheated on that one)

Bullshit, for a number of reasons.

Yeah, because something written in ancient babylon is still followed to the letter in modern times...
Didn't lemon demon sing this once?
It hasn't yet, what's one more?

Bonus points if they include easter eggs like throwing in the word "Ferret" randomly.
...opening yourself up Indeed.

Since when have facts gotten in the way of anyone that wants to sue over copyright?
They built the damn things after all. Or did the Pharoahing industry associates of egypt file the pyramids as works for hire...

Just because the problem isn't there anymore doesn't mean that it isn't worth mocking mercilessly.

If you did it fast enough to induce a siezure and some hallucinations, maybe.

Let's start with the fact that they spit out more false positives than drug dogs and work our way down from there.
