    I agree it shouldn't be illegal in certain situations, such as incurable painful diseases. However, in some cases the person is not in a logical mind-frame and should be forcibly hospitalized instead of giving them a gun.

    I have a family member whom has mental health issues and she was suicidal for a good year in her early 20s, until she got on the right medication. Now she lives a productive life and is happy. Some mental issues can be solved with medication!

    Unfortunately the IP address part got snuck into the ruling, which could have unintended consequences later. However, in this case, 3taps definitely deserves to be punished for their abusive behavior.

    So the functions they are trying to emulate are "higher brain functions such as sensory perception, motor commands, spatial reasoning, conscious thought and language." (emphasis mine). I'm assuming they are looking (near term) for better filtering of that massive collection of data the NSA is collecting.

    From my understanding, compiled code is reviewed once. However, in the cell phone app that I made, a lot of content was pulled from a database that I controlled, meaning product information could be updated by me without the need of review from Apple. We joked about replacing images with NSFW images, but I imagine what this team did was have a compiled app that ran code from a DB and was similarly able to be updated later.

    Maybe you should read up on the law instead of speculating; It relates to financial institutes & the government. Or you could RTFA and see that it states clearly "his actions violated Facebook's Terms of Service".

    Seems to me that Mark is just pissed at being embarrassed, there really is no justification for not paying him. He submitted the bug to their security team first before exploiting it in a harmless way.
