Last week I got an email from a friend of mine warning me about a new nasty virus and that I shouldn't open up an email with such an such title.
Obiously right away I know this is a hoax. I get pissed off at her and send a reply message to her bitching her out about contributing to the conjestion of the internet by sending that junk through.
I get a response from her.
"If you tried to email me back from the last email it did not come through because of spam blocker (inbound virus hoaxes)."
I guess it's all about education. As much as I had to say it people should be required to take a class on using the internet properly. hey. I've managed to teach her to use BCC when she decides to send a message to her entire address book. Got to start somewhere.

One thing that is cool about asterisk is that you don't even need a phone to use it. All you need is a computer with a mic and speakers.
It's probably closer to 600 million, these days, or more. Checking each by hand would be both tedious and impractical. Some kind of automated filtering system, to make the problem managable, is inevitable.
Yes they have the spider that is doing the filtering for them. It's double checking that system that is where they need the man power which should not be so difficult.
If someone is choking and you give them the heimlich maneuver, save their life, but in the process you break one of their ribs they can turn around and sue you. Sucks being the good samaritin.
Now is the time IBM should think about that hostile takeover.

BBSes is where it was at. How else was a 14yr old kid supposed to get pr0n without is mom finding out in the early 90's.
I really loved the ANSI pr0n too.
BTW last week while cleaning out some file cabinets I found a C64 300baud modem now all I need is the C64 to go with it.
