Works like a charm when using wifi. Via 3G, openvpn makes sure, your provider won't know what hit them. Advantages: - Cheap - Your own PBX - Crypto as long as you're dialing inside your PBX - Enables you to use other VoIP-phones, too
It has a few disadvantages though: - Eats right through your battery (esp. the wifi part) - Bad coverage ruins your calls - Needs root on your android for openvpn - Needs some server (for asterisk && openvpn) - Needs a bit know how to set up correctly (I'm doing lectures about that on ccc events in Europe) - Has no end to end crypto, at least if you're callin outside (from your asterisk) lines
(Sorry for the previous comment - darn html formatting..)

...and according to the nginx-folks its blazing fast and can do wonderful stuff ontop of the already nice config script foo.
If you plan to do (performant) webapps, you should have a look at that.
Here's the ngx_lua module.
I sticked all the ones I could get my hands on onto my Loo. Makes perfect sense to me.
Aurox is missing, too!
And this, in contrast to Gentoo, IS a Live-CD.
(Not a bad one either)
This fine piece of OS is distributed regularly (including interesting updates & tutorials) with the polish Magazine "Hakin9"
