  1. Tired on Dvorak Trashes Modern Gaming Industry · · Score: 1

Dvorak is an idiot. Really, all he does now is speculate about the doom of something. Linux, games, his marriage, etc. How can a guy like that sleep at night without the fear of being killed by a mob of Elvis impersonators in his sleep?

  2. Re:Huh? on Linux Can't Kill Windows · · Score: 1

In every measure? What about the ones that count? I'm a linux user at home, but Microsoft pays the bills at work. You know how often I have to restart Windows Server 2003? At least once every other week for whatever reason. A lot more often than I have to start my linux server at home. I've never had to restart linux for anything other than a new kernel.

    Last week:
"Why did you have to restart that server?"
"We were having a lot of problems." Problems being unexplainable slip-ups in Windows Server 2003.

  3. Hate to admit it... on In Which OS Do You Feel More Productive? · · Score: 1

We use Windows as a networking environment where I work and due to the Microsoft infestation of software being the most widely supported and used on the desktop, I'm much more productive than I am in Windows than in Linux. However, on servers I run on my own and develop software on in my spare time, I'm much more productive in linux.

  4. Slack rocks on The Stealth Desktop: Sight and Sound With Slackware · · Score: 1

I never thought for myself when I got into linux. Someone told me 6 years ago 'Redhat is the way! Slackware sucks!' The recent versions of Redhat give me such a headache because the installations appear to make decisions for me. Slack doesn't. Not only that, but configuring slack is so much easier than Redhat. As corporate as Redhat gets, they come off as a microsoft of linux. Slack reaches back to the roots of linux.
