Care to explain how ubisofts' "DRM infested crap" corrupts my system when it's not currently running?
Have you actually looked at the software or are you like most people online just repeating things you have heard and read without any clue if it's actually true?
What are you doing "gaming" in the living room? Dude, you are now MARRIED. Turn the spare bedroom into your "man cave". The living room is your wife's domain.
Seperating rooms into "domains" is just the first step in alienating your significant other and start hating eachother, have fun with that..
Just look at the trucks they use to clean the mirrors for moderns solar salt plants. Themachines themselves are pretty good, and would do a comparativley good job if just hooked onto an exisiting window-washing rig...
Of course if Einstein's theories are correct then any such cheating mechanism would inherently double as a time machine with rather serious implications to our concept of causality.
Well yes and now, if you travel above the speed of light, by "folding" space/time. You make a time machine, although you are in effect only traveling forwards and a "reasonable speed", you are to outside observers, actually traveling through time...
It's not like it's an albecurrie drive powering the TARDIS:P
How does a 500 year data set apply to a 4.5 billion year old planet?
Anthropogenic warming isn't dangerous to the planet, it's dangerous to us. The timeline of the planet is irrelevant.
And by analyzing more of earths timeline, we might discover more facts that could reduce the risk to humanity. But no, if they discover something that might counter current scientific beliefs, they might loose funding or even their jobs...
As long as the "free" part stands, it usually gets a "fair shake".
But games that force you to pay to progress, wont be treated nicely.
Some games(like NFSWorld), have a free to play model, but restrict the upper levels of the game, to only paying customers. And unless you provide a way for people to grind through boredom to reach the same spot for free. Your game will probably be panned.
The cost of the support agreements, would still be less than the replacement of several thousand ATMs and internal systems.
There is a reason why people do this, and it's not just lazyniess..

Electricity and oil are both energy.
Well techincally, all matter is energy...
Well that's one pretty decent way to get some good karma with the open source comunity and help people at the same time :)

Tracking location and letter you see what's near certain locations, aren't really the same thing... :|

I just tried it, and holy hell it is as you say an abomination. Took me times to even find your comment to respond to.. :|
If you stop coal burning, oil sand or whatever equally damaging thing your country does first? :P
hehe, it don't? *test*
Well seriously, toilet seats are cleaner the most other surfaces(or the top part at least;) in a house.
