Really, I get them weekly on one machine. Granted it is a hardware fault, I think the caps have swollen on the board, but I still see bsod fairly frequently.
Switchgrass grown for biofuel production produced 540 percent more energy than needed to grow, harvest and process it into cellulosic ethanol, according to estimates from a large on-farm study by researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

did you just get in a uid pissing match with someone on the internet? See slashdot only people that like the disagree are trolls..
I think many people lurk sd for a while prior to getting uid, I personally read it for 3 years before getting the urge to shout at someone in a non-anonymous manner.
What about flush mounting the drive with a Plexiglas cover (yeah warranty voiding) and do a partial cover with come of the oil paint for a more integrated look.
I do like the idea of peripherals as art, and with the slew of laptops auto magically turning into wall tops this is an interesting addition to it all, For future art projects a wall top with the interesting hard drive (like the one I described above) displayed in a full height canvas would be a very interesting art meets technology project.
With this you could have the laptop screen saver be various alternative images to fill in the hole it created and change the art work it is in. (family pictures would definitely be a lame use of this kind of art hack.
Have you ever read normal accidents? The idea that normal deviations in saftey measurse float in such a perfect manner to allow for super critical accidents that stem from something as trivial as a leaking drinking fountain, seeps into the floor and disables a radiation detector, that goes unchecked two or three times, another normal accident happens in that area coupled together these create a situation that leaves the door open for a disasterous accident to happen.
In reading the book it is apparent that the reason that we have not had more nuclear accidents is more a matter of luck, than actual safety. In one case the core happened to cool down on its own when it should have gone critical.
Perfectly safe indeed.. if you believe that this is so safe, take your kids to live next to one.
Google beta, and advanced and labs all need manuals in my opinion. They have really cool things, that are not yeat ready for the public, but offer really interesting abilities. One of the interesting things that google will be launching is something similar to seti@home, and will let "worthwile" projects have access to distributed computing that is donated.
However, that there is a large manual makes sense as there are lots of features most people don't know about. For instance I didn't know that google had a calculator capable of doing conversions built in.
try typing this 100km in miles. I think that google is the best site ever, so cool it even has its own verb.
If it is such a threat couldn't they just flood 2.4 and 5.2ghz frequencies with packets and in effect cripple the whole thing?
don't they make devices to do this?
Or just use materials to block the signals.
you must be new here.. don't feed the trolls

Definitely.
Why on earth would you want to buy electronics from people site unseen?
It's like looking for the sellers on pricewatch with no ratings.
