So the examples grandparent gave can in your opinion be "good things":

Offering to feed peoples children, on the condition that they convert to christianity would be wrong. Offering a woman who is in the wilderness with a broken leg a ride to the nearest hospital, on the condition that she give you a blowjob would be wrong. Offering someone whose family is starving $2/day, on the condition that they work as slaves for you is wrong.
    I mean wow. Go libertarians!

Are you completely delusional? And are those links to bizarre propaganda sites supposed to prove something? Cuba should be commended for NOT torturing people, unlike the United States, and unlike the US-supported dictatorships all over the world. Actually, Cuba has one of the BEST human rights records in Latin America if you look at the entire period since the revolution. Although admittedly that does not say much among a collection of, again, US-supported right wing dictatorships engaging massive campaigns of torture and murder against its own population. The worst human rights abuses in Cuba right now take place at Gitmo. By the way, would you care to guess why exactly the US has a military base on Cuba?

Personally, I like the gperfection2 suite which also includes xmms and firefox skins. Clear, usable and minimalist.

You can also use a hidden partition, that is an encrypted partition within another encrypted partition, such that the existence of the 'inner' partition cannot be determined.

You would then give up the password to the 'outer' partition in which you might have placed some sensitive looking but legal material (such as your collection of german midget porn). Nobody will know that an inner partition exists where the really sensitive material is placed.

Various tools can do this such as Truecrypt and FreeOTFE for windows. Don't know about Unix/Linux/BSD and OSX.
