Furthermore, it looks like the images are hosted at amazon web services. So I think the site (when linked to properly) will handle the traffic just fine.
I still have, and use, an Epson 740 (circa 1999) as my primary printer. Black cartridges cost me ~10$ at the local grey market computer shop. It even got me through university.
As soon as they started including print heads in the cartridges, or shutting down all printing until the color is replenished, I said 'no thank you' to the idea of a new printer.
Something tells me I am not Epson's target market.
