Running a few searches left me underwhelmed with the content of the results (hitting the next-page button on a search with a listed 62,200,000 results â" for "seattle" â" got me the unexpected error message "We didn't find any results for 'seattle.'"), but pleased with the actual layout of the results when it worked, so I hope the kinks are worked out.
Well, it seems like they have replaced 503-page with "we didn't find any results for...", because when you hit the back-button and try again, you can actually get next set with the results.
One other thing I've noticed was that their data is a bit outdated. We moved our site almost 2 years ago, but Cuil (ugly name IMHO) only points to old pages. And one of the results came with a completely unrelated image.
I wish them all the best, but they still have a long way to go.
I don't know either, wasn't trolling, just answering the parent and expressing my honest opinion.
Anyhow, I've got to agree with you, documentation is not only a poop, but practically doesn't exist. You've got to use the forums. But when it comes to configuration... I don't know, may not be as smooth as on Mandriva, but was straightforward... at least for me.
No need to get defensive;) I wasn't saying it was better, just named another distro with all the features the parent was so excited about.
I've used Mandrake for a couple of years before and then the first Mandriva, so I know you've got some superb configuration utilities. The only reason why I switch to Debian was the packaging system, and I just loved apt-get. And today I'm pretty happy with Xubuntu.
you must live in an alternate reality where the republican party stands for saner government and a balanced budget.
what's the price of gas over there? 15,34 NOK/liter, that's about $2.97 a liter or $11.24 a gallon... and climbing.
Quote from Asirra's FAQ:
Is it accessible?
Aisrra is not meant to be an alternative to all HIPs, only visual HIPs. Accessible websites, such as Microsoft's Hotmail signup page, typically have both a visual and audio HIP. Asirra is only meant as an alternative to the warped letters, but is orthogonal to accessible alternatives such as Hotmail's audio version of dictated digits. Do I need to say anything else?!
do something else. show me a picture of an object and ask me (in a multiple-choice test?) what it is...a tree, a car, a house, a flower, whatever.
and for the sight-impaired, how about a read description or definition of something? "this thing is the entrance to a house or a room" => door Unfortunately, this doesn't work because you'll only have a limited set of objects, so it shall be relatively easy to collect all of the items.
Nothing strange about it. He is most definitely using Firefox 2, and due to its caching system and a lot of badly written plugins it leaks memory, a lot of it. I don't really want to repeat myself, but the platform on which Firefox 3 is built on has been significantly changed and therefore it has a smaller memory footprint.
Doesn't Firefox already use up enough memory? Currently Firefox is running on my computer using up nearly 800MB of RAM. I have 3 tabs open and none of them are doing anything intense. I'm glad my computer has 2 gigs of RAM but I bought that for Photoshop not Firefox...
Mozilla developers have made a lot of significant changes to the platform on which Firefox 3 is built on, many of those aiming to reduce the browser's memoryfootprint.
It's just beyond me why the parent was moderated funny. Insightful, interesting sure, but funny?? That said I don't think turning off the activation servers would matter that much. You can always call Microsoft and get a special activation key, and secondly, I don't think they're going to update wga, so it's probably going to be hacked sooner or later. And besides, 2014 is definitely going to be a year of Gnu/Linux.
Avraham Trakhtman is not a typical Russian name and calling his a Russian wouldn't be entirely true. Unless you think there're only Russians who lives in Russia. His is a Russian-Israeli or Israeli-Russian (depending on where yo are). This means that he was a Israeli in Russia and now he is a Russian in Israel. Yes, it is confusing and also somehow funny, bus sadly it's true.
Evidence? You just know this, just like when "you drive by an accident, you know you have to do something about it, because you know you're the only one who can really help."

Not if he has the encryption/decryption part (including the keys) somewhere else, preferably on his own server.
And about 4 minutes later on the other "end" of the Internet...
5. ???
6. Profit

Ubuntu?
Russian is rarely spoken outside of Kaliningrad and Karlovy Vary, but is widely understood (though rarely very welcome.)
I didn't know they spoke Klingon in Moscow ;)
You could always ask RIAA/MPAA to help you ;)
I would go with the compact cassettes and a note saying: "We only use ZX Spectrums here" ;) Oh the memories...
I think it would be more correct to say because email should not be a website.

IE7?! Are you kidding me? You can "polish" Firefox as much as you want.

What's more troubling is that I actually want to do Lois. Am I alone in this?
Hey! Whatever makes you happy *cough*, but I'm crossing my fingers for my roommate.
Here
Who fricking watches the keys while typing or gaming?!
I don't think my granny would really appreciate Das Keyboard, especially with my dvorak mapping.
Actually you have to be as near as 20-30 cm, otherwise it just wouldn't conduct.
I'd rather say it's insightfully funny ;)
