    Kennedy was referring to Soviet, which as you know was partly in Europe. There's absolutely nothing in doctrine that mentions Asian nations. The three main ideas of the doctrine were:

    1. It conveys that European countries cannot colonize in any of the Americas: North, Central, or South as well as islands of the Caribbean which were considered to be a part of the Americas.
    2. It enforces Washington's rule of foreign policy, in which the U.S. will only be involved in European affairs if America's rights are disturbed.
    3. Third, the U.S. will consider any attempt at colonization a threat to its national security.

    When a browser is able to crash the OS then hell yeah, you can blame it on Microsoft or whoever made the OS.

    Among the key features of Vista as it currently stands are: security enhancements, a new searching mechanism, lots of new laptop features, parental controls and better home networking. Microsoft Allchin said in an April interview that he expects Vista will need about 512MB of memory and "today's level" of processor.

    Hmmm... ~3GHz and 768Mb-1Gb RAM: Sounds like a DTR! But what about Intel's ultra low voltage (ULV) based laptops... or any other non-DTR laptops?

    Imagine this... you're living in the US, UK or any other English speaking country, you're invited to an interview, you come there and the first thing they do is to ask you to take a language test. How would you react?

    Ubuntu is based on Debian (same goes for Knoppix), so I don't really see your point. And besides, what's wrong with using Debian as the desktop system? No, really!?
