My start with Glowplug engines was a bit shakey, but now I'm there I love 'em (or maybe it's the exhaust fumes).

I use 15% mix, NEVER need to mess with the mixture, starts first time, everytime, and just goes and goes. In fact, it's probably more reliable than my (real) car!

Can I urge you to give the glowplug thing another go?!? They're good reliable fun!

    Yay for O.S. Engines.

  2. Re:Torrents have no Borders on Digital Music Downloads Too Expensive? · · Score: 0
Right on. As an Australian, I didn't realise how over-charged we were for CD's (before downloadable digital music)...

Until I travelled to SE Asia.. I saw copious amounts of cheap pirated music and software at every turn, And the stuff in the shops was cheaper also (probably to compete with piracy).

I haven't bought a CD in Australia since, now 9 years and counting...

    My thoughts are: Piracy Pays

  3. Can it play MP3 out-of-the-box? on Looking Forward, Ubuntu Linux 6.06 · · Score: -1, Troll

I've installed Ubuntu 5.10 and it's reasonable as far as Linux distro's go, but I can't believe it won't play mp3's straight out of the box. Is this for real? It's 2006! Do I have to convert my entire music collection because someone's preference for other formats. And I would hate to think they are doing this out of fear of the music co's. (which is what there website indicates). What if the MPAA tries to vilify graphic displays. Will Ubuntu force you to use terminal emulation only. Oh and before you suggest installing the codec's, checkout the ununtu forum. The how-to goes forever... and I am yet to see synaptic work even once!!! Screw you hippies. I'm going XP.

  4. PVR, EPG in AUS? on The Mini-ITX Linux PVR Project · · Score: 1

Has anyone had any experience with MythTV or Win MCE in Australia. Everything I've read is so US-Centric. Dammit, there are countries without TiVO!!! And no digital cable to my door. It also seems there is no EPG is Aus, except subscription based ones like icetv.com.au (AUD$3/wk!!!), and I ain't paying for 'nuffin!

Except that is nothing like what happened. Taiwan has never, ever being ruled by China. Not even for a second. Japan has more claim to it that China, but you don't see them getty pissy!

  6. Re:Return our money on China Bans Game Recognizing Taiwan Independence · · Score: 2, Insightful

They have no law, no language, no history, no art. Taiwan has established a strong economy of its own, without (and despite of) China. Taiwan has its own law, heritage, native language and native people. Your statement is like saying Australians have no law, language, history or art!!! (me being Aussie..) Australia has over 3000 words unique to our vocabulary. We have indigineous people (unfortunately), art and history. Would you argue that Australia is nothing without England?

I would concede that the early Church had some backward ways... despite that there are the devout early christians that longed to understand the world God had created, such as those mentioned. In addition, there are many scriptures in the Bible that indicate an understanding of things long before scientists ever did, such as: The Earth is suspended in space without support The stars are countless Blood is the life of the body etc.. I can back these with references, (but I can't remember them of the top of my head). email me for more info...

Actually, oh ye who art misinformed... The contributions of Christians to the rise of Science in the 1500 and 1600's is vastly documented, although rarely mentioned by the secular and evolutionary biased media. We can thank the likes of Faraday, Pastuer and Newton for their contributions that are based on a deep seated belief in Creation. Also, many of today's great scientists attribute their success to a belief in Creation. Such as the inventor of MRI.
