but i'm pretty sure it is possible to have 802.11 friendly phones because it just uses a slightly difforent frequency, however it's not perfect, because of harmonics, etc. so it's NOT 100% friendly, but it won't completly wipe out your network when your on the phone.
this DOES NOT mean it hooks up to your network. and it SHOULD NOT interfere with your network.
i wouldn't trust it, i have one simple solution to this problem: just use a wire!
who is gonna buy that wallpaper except maybe government offices, plus if your gonna use that wallpaper to coat one room, you might as well just use a wire
i don't know many people who have DVD burners yet, i haven't gotten around to buying one yet. This will prevent disk copying.
If sony never releases any kind of burner, all the games will be safe, however people will find away around it, even if it means compressing everything rediculously and putting it on a DVD.
Very few games i know exceed 2 CD's, i can't imagine what kind of game you could have to fill 25/50GB!
BluRay is cool!
I'm still pissed off about WinXP, if you don't have WinXP, you can't get the latest and greatest DirectX, or use the latest and greatest hardware, BUT if you have WinXP, you can't use some old software, and drivers for old hardware don't work, like i have 1 digital camera, and 1 webcam, that don't have updated drivers for them, so i can't use them on XP. Microsoft needs to realise only the hackers revolve around them, not the whole world. Nobody wants to fix MS errors.
you need to learn how to type, it's possible to type faster than you can write, and typing is clearer than writing. handwriting recognition, is slow and annoying, and always wrong.
I think kids should learn how to type before they learn how to write.
and today, if you can't type at least, 30WPM, your kinda screwed.
Typing is easyer than writing, and i wouldn't want to use voice recognition, cause thats wrong, plus you can't speak normally, and anyone around you knows exactly what your doing.
maybe someday they will have computer to brain interface, so you type just by thinking, there is already a few games that are "mind controlled", but the most you can control is left/right movement.
I went to barnes and noble to look at some books about linux, I always have problems with installing programs and stuff, and i read quite a few "newbie" books about linux, but i keep running in to problems
it seems like a good book, but for a non-geek, try linux for non-geeks
I guess intel is just trying to make more money. They are trying to sell the slower chips at high prices, the 4 Ghz chips are probably gonna come out with todays price of 3.6 Ghz chips.
oh well, i just got a 3.0GHz P4, i'm not going to be buying a new computer any time soon, if anything i'm gonna be a low end laptop.
AMD already sells 3800 64bit processors!
Intel hasn't even developped a method to allow 32 bit apps to run on a 64 bit processor.
Intel is screwed, and it's screwing it's self!
I've been seeing a larger and larger number of AMD users. and i've only bought intel chips all my life, AMD looks tempting, i think next computer i might buy an AMD, unless Intel changes it's act.
plus i see more multiprocessor mobo's available for AMD than intel, i think intel only has them for their zeon processors.
AMD chips are: faster 32 AND 64 bit cheaper
AMD looks tempting to someone who has used intel chips their entire life.
however, i have friends who have had some real bad issues with AMD, thats why i didn't get one for my last computer.
the military's humvee replacement is going to have 4 electric motors, one on each wheel, a generator, and a diesel engine to power the generator, and enough batteries to drive the vehicle without the generator (for stealth)
because the vehicle has 4 motors, it doesn't have to do a 3 point turn, it just puts one side forward, the other side in reverse, and it turns in place.
this vehicle is also supposed to be more fuel effiecient.
the solution to gasoline, is probably going to be hydrogen, we'll never run out. I've heard of people with hydrogen cars producing their own hydrogen from solar panels at their houses. (cheaper than paying through the grid)
Thats just dumb,
it's not like they are transmitting it via RF, they arn't broadcasters.
but the music industry is just trying to line their pockets w/ more money.
however
usually music they play at dentists/doctors, makes me more nervous,
and my dentist usually just has a local radio station on anyway.
don't you wish Concast bought disney?
i don't know, i don't use a 2.4 Ghz phone,
but i'm pretty sure it is possible to have 802.11 friendly phones because it just uses a slightly difforent frequency, however it's not perfect, because of harmonics, etc. so it's NOT 100% friendly, but it won't completly wipe out your network when your on the phone.

maybe someone should offer rewards for the heads of spammers
If you are not using Mozilla thunderbird, you are getting too much spam!
I went from more than 100 spams a day to almost zero
I recommend you download Mozilla thunderbird:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird
I wrote an article about a few Mozilla Thunderbird Tweaks on my website http://kb1ghc.home.comcast.net/spam.htm
don't spend a penny on any spam filters, just use Thunderbird, and follow my tips.
I think if a spammer is convicted of spamming, and trying to sell medication, they must consume all the medication they were trying to sell
give them an overdose of viagra
Has anyone ever noticed that they named it the CAN SPAM act?
That rifle is awsome! where can I buy one?
i wouldn't trust it, i have one simple solution to this problem: just use a wire!

Wow! A case mod!
I don't think disney is gonna be marketing anywhere past a 6 year old. and haven't many companys tryed making "kid computers" before?
most parents share a computer with their kids, or tos them the ol'486
They will probably end up having dell make them or something.

SP2 = Security Problems x2
.
yahoo! needs to fix their security, this might be a little off topic, but their account security is a joke, you can get a new password issued easily

oh crap!
my mistake, they are only up to 3.4Ghz, i always thought the "Athlon XP 3800" ment 3800Mhz!
D'oh!
i'm not buying an AMD now!
i can't believe this!
I guess intel is just trying to make more money. They are trying to sell the slower chips at high prices, the 4 Ghz chips are probably gonna come out with todays price of 3.6 Ghz chips.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Microsoft has enough programmers to program what it wants. (a less stable version however)
and if they can't program it, they can just buy it
hahahahahhahaha the future WAS cool!
didn't atari do something like this? and didn't they end up buring thousands of copies of ET in th desert?? I'm not sure, this article confused me
does anyone know how much this is gonna cost?
like automobiles arn't as complex as they already are!
my truck is already jammed with wires!
NO THANKS! I like to work on my own truck!
i'm slightly confused? now, you have a dumb bolt, but this thing works like a nut? so it just releases from the little grooves?
I would like to go back to a carborator or an early EFI system.
This system does have some good applications. for security, yes, but in functionaliy no.
it's cool though! and i'm sure there are some practicle uses
want a universal tool?
Leatherman, http://www.leatherman.com
i have one, they are a bit pricy, but they worth every penny

as an amateur radio operator, i am concerned about what bandwidth they use.
how much bandwidth does it take, and what what frequencys does it operate on?
sounds cool though, but theres only a limited amount of RF
i want some technical information
Thats just dumb, it's not like they are transmitting it via RF, they arn't broadcasters. but the music industry is just trying to line their pockets w/ more money. however usually music they play at dentists/doctors, makes me more nervous, and my dentist usually just has a local radio station on anyway.
