  1. Re:Competition rules url on Human-powered Helicopter Fails to Lift Off · · Score: 1

The above post is insightful methinks...

Did you see the size of the rotors??? When I first read the spec (2*~500Nm) for the "in flight torque" I thought they made some kind of typo...Damn, look at those rotors..talking about drag. How in h*** is someone suppose to get those up to lift rpm, then keep them there for 3 minutes??? NOWAY!!

The only way to do it is as the above poster wrote, low drag, some kind of stored energy, You may even get a huge gyro on the deal (I use this echnique to produce a long lasting spin on my office chair;)
I admit, 3 minutes is a bit much.
How much energi (to be stored) can one produce in say 10 minutes? How much weight does it "cost" to store that energy? Will that energy be enough to produce lift for 3 minutes? I call upon mathematicians to do the calculus (I am to lazy and dumb).

I wont complain too much regarding the j2ee (or even j2se), but j2me..... I am telling you, I have 2 phones, and I can tell U it's not easy to find working java application for them. It's not like, "down load this if you have a java phone", it's more like "if you have this phone, download this, if you have that phone, download that, this application doesn't work with those phones bla bla bla. I have to spend to much time trying to find the right download for my phones. How the developers feels... I found an informative blog which sums it up.

I was stunned when reading the TORQUE requirements. 485Nm each pair??? Thats 970Nm ??? How is ANY one supposed to cranc out 970Nm for 3 minutes??? Load them full of halo, tren, thg, hgh + t3 and whatnot, I belive it when I see it.

look at comment #9862276, there are a couple of ssh-clients for mobiles (java), at least one of them is easy to use on a limited(mobile) keyboard, whithout separate input/output screens. This is the one I am using ;)

All that hoopla about email-clients who can read .doc/pdf and html files...Well, I do that! Everything You have access to on a full UNIX/Linux box is availble! As an admin, I can fix anything from the beach!! ;)
This on my old Siemens S55!(which I can bring to the beach :) ....)
The upcoming sk65 has a nifty keyboard solution!

I dont have a "full" keyboard mobile, however I dont have any problem ssh'ing and writing/reading mail editing files or whatnot. I also use my phone (through ssh) to irc/icq! The T9 feature and tab-completion makes up for the limited keyboard. The biggest problem is the battery....after about 4 hours of ssh session it dies(maybe I should buy a new one).

In Firefox you right click on the button (We assume the "right" way to do the exploit is to link the javacode to a buybutton") in question, e.g (I found this buy button on the internet) on the bottom of this page there is a "buy" button, and the properties shows you what it is linked to (https://www.paypal.com......). On the other hand, do the same in IE and you get ??? As I said this is an IE -bug (hehe nice eh?).
