I'm considering buying the 1900mAh battery up front. You are right though, I'm used to not looking at my palm for a week or two sometimes.
Question.. can this thing charge off of USB, or is there a seperate power adapter?

I'm looking at an axim X30... the X50 (VGA screen) is right around the corner, so prices can't get much better.

I'm using a high power 802.11 directional antenna and I have to craft a packet and send it off 8 minutes before the rotation of the earth brings that "default" linksys ap into my line of site.
