If I went to the gulf, and emptied a barrel of oil in the water, i wouldn't get the death penalty. Hell, I I bought a super tanker, and rammed it into the rocks, unleashing all its cargo, I still would not get the death penalty.
You do realise that Exxon managed to have the judgement price awarded for the Valdex disaster reduced, only in the last few months. YES, they still have not paid it.
I am afraid you are living in a fantasy world, where after a judgement is made, the company hands over the money. This doesn't happen, just because a judgement has been handed down, the end is nowhere near.
The purpose of Uni is not to show that you can attend lectures promptly and consistently. It is show you can do the work, and know the material, enough to get a degree. These are not the same thing.
The taxpayers should not care if you went to every lecture, or you went to none, as long as you can do the work, and passed the exams.
You seem to be confusing attendance with knowledge, they are not the same. If you can do the work better at home, then what is the point of wasting your time, sitting around? If you already know some of the work, don't go to those lectures. I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with that.
You are a real smart guy, if you can not see the difference between your well known prediction, and something technically very useful.
I predict morons like you will take over the world, and force us all to watch mindless tv, and feed our plants brawno. (Yes, I too can predict stuff I have heard before, just another reason you are braindead).
Chernobyl could have been built much more safely than Chernobyl (was built). But it cost less to build it as they did.
This is the problem. How can we, as the general public, ensure that this does not happen in the future? We hear the government has approved some Nuclear power plants, how do we now the builders haven't cut corners, to extract maximum profit?
This is a problem for all power plants, not nuclear, just nuclear is very scary.
You are wrong, he is not saying we are as much responsible as BP. He is not saying therefore BP is not to blame.
He is saying that we all bear some responsibility for this, since we use BP products. This must be obvious, to anyone bar an American who never accepts responsibility for anything.
The UK declaring war on Germany in WWI and WWII? WWII bankrupted the UK, they had to sell of a lot of land and companies they still owned in the US, and they had to borrow big from the US.
Slashdot are going after the Yelp model. Looks like MATLAB hasn't been keeping up with their payments. Would hate for something to happen to all those great slashdot stories about you guys lately.
The Intel Atom has barely improved over the past two years.
then you say this:
recently has Intel improved on that with Tiger Point You are talking shit, Atom keeps improving, now they have dual core running at less wattage than the single core chips.
The problem is, that this is still overkill for a slate device, if you are running a decent OS. Windows 7 is not a decent OS.
They are both pretty decent OS, but Android has a huge used base, 30,000 applications, and better developers. Plus android runs on 100s of devices now.
HP went after the Dell, cheap as anything market. This how they managed to regain the crown for most PC sales, by selling big cheap boxes to corporate world.
Who the hell isn't greedy. If you were offered more money at work, would you turn it down. Most people wouldn't. And all your colleagues are going to get paid more.
This is all these people are doing, they are doing there jobs, and they get paid bonuses for doing it well.
It is ignorant and stupid to pretend that this situation is just that simple.
Damn, I would love to be able to argue with you, but I can't Labor has gone to the dogs. I respect Kevin Rudd, but boy is he heading in the wrong direction.
Seriously, did the article writer not read ANY of the readily available information about the purchase?
Maybe he is not a moron who believes everything he hears from press releases. Is this your first big tech merger or something. They will say anything to justify the deal.
Maybe HP will go ahead with this, but it would represent a risk, something that HP shies away from these days.
The shorters will have to pay for the stock, at the price HP agreed to pay for them. Fortunately the price hasn't changed much in the last week, but if they shorted weeks or months ago, they can still make quite a bit of money on the deal, since Palms price has been heading down.
You are right, but this is a delicate act. You want to get new users, but you don't want to piss off the users you already have.
This is completely not true. Have you actually ever tried to get the first sample for free? It doesn't work.
What an idiotic thing to say. I own an iPhone, and I am happy flash doesn't run on it, but this doesn't mean everybody thinks like me.
A lot of people don't know flash doesn't run.
A lot of people still think it it worth the price, but did wish that it came with flash.
Are you so ignorant to deny these people exist?

You would think a dead sheep would be much easier to shag.

Still, nuclear is the way to go.
No, he is correct. He is not saying BP is not the ultimate one responsible, he is saying we all bear some responsibilty, if we use BP products.
It is our thirst for oil, that has driven these problems, and many others.
If you drive, you are ultimately to blame for all our past, and coming problems.
You are wrong, he is not saying we are as much responsible as BP. He is not saying therefore BP is not to blame.

Moron?

Have fun trying to manage your desktop OS, running normal Applications, not designed for a touch screen. Moron.
First ou say this:
The Intel Atom has barely improved over the past two years.
then you say this:
recently has Intel improved on that with Tiger Point

Ow, no doubt. A screen slightly bigger than the iphone, exactly what we have all been asking for.
Wake up, this device will be nothing, along with the 100 other copies of the iphone that go nowhere.
This isn't even aiming at the ipad market.
Fuck, you are so dumb, you are a danger to life around you.
Who the hell isn't greedy. If you were offered more money at work, would you turn it down. Most people wouldn't. And all your colleagues are going to get paid more.

I know, it is like when Windows 7 was coming out, there were all these articles about Windows 7.
Flash and Adobe is big news at the moment. Just skip the fucking article if you don't like it.
Damn, I would love to be able to argue with you, but I can't Labor has gone to the dogs. I respect Kevin Rudd, but boy is he heading in the wrong direction.

Why are you just picking on sopssa? Microsoft paid 100s of people to go out and say the same sort of thing.
And where is he, laughing all the way to the bank.
