The GPL and BSD are completely different, however they are both open source.
The difference is that the GPL not only keeps credit to the original authors, but forces anyone taking code from it to make their product open source. The BSD says do what you want, just give me credit.
GPL forces open source, BSD starts open source and can go whichever way a developer looking at the code wants. I prefer BSD, there's much more freedom, including the option of someone else using code from it under and using a different license.
I wasn't very specific, sorry. I meant more than one of each type of model (so more than one of the CRT iMacs, more than one of previous model, and one of the latest) and not at the same time. Right now I just have a 17" of the latest iMac.
"the form factor makes sense for an iPod"
They designed it after the iPod, hoping people would see similarities and figure if the iPod was so great, why not the iMac. Personally I've liked every iMac model they've made and have owned more than one of each (with the exception of the latest).
How do the looks of this thing outdo Apple's?
This thing is just a black box with a handle and a color LCD display. Compare that to the current and previous iMacs.
Yea, and I am going to assume you get to your floor via elevator...you get to be stuck in a small place, while spinning and going up. Sounds like a joy ride.
Do you mean why can't we use the nVidia and ATI drivers for linux (and in nVidia's case, FreeBSD) on Mac OS X? If that's what you mean, its because we do not have full access to the source, and the binaries do not run on the PowerPC processor. Also Mac OS X does not use X11 (although you can use the Darwin kernel and then X11). Yes OS X can use X11 however it is not the actual Window server
If you mean why doesn't nVidia or ATI make OS X drivers and Apple does, its because Apple does not want to give them the required information to writing those drivers.
So because something was thought of by someone else means he can't impliment it? I guess by the way you state things, all developer tools are crap because the ideas were thought of years ago.
Seriously now, he respects our privacy, the FBI does not. He is being a good guy. Also, have any proof he has "milked" nmap and its only heard of because dumb people (so you think) use it? A lot of smart net admins use it against their servers, which is the point of it.
The reason OS X, linux, and FreeBSD (which OS X is based on) don't get spyware, is because you need root privilages to install them, and typical users of those systems don't just use root. Its an overal more secure way of doing things unlike Windows which typically the only one using it is running as admin.
Gentoo is widely known for its portage system. If you want something, say irssi, you just type 'emerge irssi' and hit enter and it downloads it and compiles it. This system though is a rip of BSD's ports system (they did a good job though).
Its main shortcoming: its linux. I'll stick with FreeBSD until the day it dies (please no BSD dying jokes)
You F$*! A@! HOLE! Why do you insist on lying to people and why the F*!@ would anyone want to pay for some S*%$ like yours when they could get the EXACT SAME THING for FREE LEGALLY! Please/. admins, ban any post with "HawkinsOS" AKA S*!@%yOSMadeByADumbA*#GuyCravingAttention.

Hey, I wonder if they're hiring, I'm a student and know nothing about law nor do I care, and whenever I have to read something I don't. I should easily get in.
Thats why I bought a Wireless to Ethernet Bridge. It's great, config usign a webbased thingy then connect via ethernet to your computer. FreeBSD (and OpenBSD in my server's case) running wirelessly via ethernet.
give them a couple big screen TVs with computers and or xboxes/ps2s/gcs hooked up for some LAN gaming and of course set up a dedicated satellite to get the latest/. news!

By color LCD I meant the type of LCD you find on a car's CD player, not something like a monitor.

Not all of it, was just a thought because spinning and going up even if slow can still be dizzying.

Thanks for clearing that up. Would mod you informative but I can't mod something I've posted to (as you probably know)

My server and desktop are both running FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE. I bought a 12" iBook in June and I absolutally love it. Go for it!
The latest 20GB and 40GB (the one you claim is the BIG one) both charge via USB but FireWire is prefered.
Quick! Everyone run to the patent office and steal his idea!
Or try "google is" I get gay, shit, evil, crap, god, stupid, your friend, the best, bad, cool

It is meant to be compatible with Windows isn't it? The flaws should be a feature

Please don't associate funerals with geeky, its disturbing to think so many people should be associated with holding funerals...
No it makes perfect sense! Microsoft is showing us what not to do with our networks. It must have been a typo.

Woops forgot it was 3 test 3 instead of just test 3...you can see how much I pay attention to Fedora
Although meant to be a joke, just to let you know Solaris is on 10 beta (9 final) and Fedora is on test 3 (not even a 1.0)
