Thanks for posting about Gemini, but this is really old news. It was shipped to first backers to year ago and I received mine something like 8 months ago.
It's the best phone currently available for my use. Camera is terrible and there are some HW quality issues but nothing beats a proper keyboard. I've backed Cosmo Communicator which should fix the issues.
I consider it more like successor for Nokia Communicators and N900 as it's a phone. All modern phones have PDA functionality.
Check out Matrix, it does the same as Telegram but is FOSS and distributed also on server side. Telegram is closed and owned by a Russian company. Matrix also supports bridging TG channels to Matrix side quite easily so existing communities can be merged. Telegram is not as evil as WhatsApp or others, but Matrix goes all the way. I closed my telegram clients a couple months ago and haven't looked back since.
Check out Matrix. It's growing fast and also has excellent support on bridging existing IM's into it. It's already a better IRC client than any IRC client.
Skrolli, a Finnish tech magazine made by hobbyists for hobbyists. The mainstream tech magazines either died or started reviewing stuff like TV's and electric shavers so hobbyist scene had to start a new magazine. It has been received really well after 5 issues in over one year. Many were skeptical that a new print magazine would make any sense but they have been proven wrong.
I share the hate to web forum UI's by many posters. That's why i wrote Siilihai web forum reader. IMO a good forum software should separate the data from UI properly and give a good API to access the underlying data. I really hope Discourse will add a API or use one of the existing ones, TapaTalk being the most popular.

I think ARToolkit could be used for input.
It uses a webcam to calculate position of
a physical marker. It could be used for
some cool method of controlling a game..

Nokia 9500 will have Personal Profile.
I'm working on it and it'll be cool. AWT
apps work without or with very little modification.
Btw Sharp Zaurus and PocketPC also have PP.
