Fully agree, that's guerrilla marketing for the world.

Read on EVMS's history. Smart guys, they knew when to steer the wheel.

Do you really think the hardware vendors who now have linux in their lines will let Sun eat their market share? Even with x86 Solaris from Sun as a token of collaboration in the IA platfrom, you can be sure the hardware guys will be pushing back. Not to mention Intel.

No. Over here more than 85% of the people went on the street to protest over and over, and we got ignored by the govt. As a result, the govt changed (probabily not for better, but it did change)

So dont say the world tacitly approved it. Politicians did. Fuck em, they may have the power but they don't speak for us!

  5. And I'm happy! on Kerry Concedes Election To Bush · · Score: 1

The dolt is still in the house.

Anyway I'm glad it happened this way... everything would have stayed the same with Kerry, so at least 50% of the US and 95% of the world (if it counts) knows they have a fucktard as president in the US.

I have a theory on that; the fact that they only have a weapon out ofthe bottom and the reuse of our satellites is surely an indicator that we were attacked by some space garbage men.. instead of death rays think of vacuuum cleaners.

Perhaps he is aware that making a prediction (or meta prediction if you prefer) in public automatically makes it go the other way.

Of course, that would make him predict that his prediction would go wrong, which would put us again at the starting point.

  11. Not socialist grubmling on Outsourcing is Good for You · · Score: 1

IT people care about doing it the best they can at their jobs, and are being mostly kicked in the nuts for it.

I would think complaining about job cuts because the company needs to show better results at the end of the Q is fair and makes sense.. while it is true that business is only about money, there's supposed to be a social contract between employer and employee that right now doesn't exist.

All these headcuts must leave a lot of empty space, but people are still gathered in cubicles... "Look, this is my cubicle farm" says the proud manager while pointing ahead with a certain feudal air. "They will never get doors even if we know they would be more productive"

As long as employees are seen as business expenses instead of inversion, the corporate plundering will continue.
