mabe you haven't heard of Adscam? or maybe you can tell my why the CSA (Canadian Space Agency) is headquarted in Montreal instead of Ottawa? Why are there 8 other government head departments located outside of Ottawa? Western Canada, the east coast they have no such national head offices? Why has 90% of all Pm's been from Quebec? Why are 75% of the highest ranking officers in the CF from Quebec...I can go on and on..you (Quebec) has gotten WAY more than its fair share considering its population. So my question is then why is there such a heavy infulence from Quebec? and yet you want more??

class president I see your point however, its a two way street. You can not expect Canada (or other countries) to follow your lead when the US blatanlty breaks the law (its own and international). IE soft wood lumber, cattle, farm subsidies I could go on and on. The WTO and NAFTA have all ruled AGAINST the US but are they going to lift the ban any time soon??? Know you get a sense of the feeling in Canada when the US knocks on the door "asking" that we do this and that...why? When the US breaks even its own rules. Like I said its a two way street. Not US way only. I agree the US does produce piles of music so....? Remove the duty of softwood lumber, resume imports of live beef and stop subsidizing your farmers THEN knock on our door...until then...forget it!

all I have to say is it will be a one way agreement regardless of what the yanks agreed to....one way...the US way or no way. For some reason the Yankee think they should have everything done, there way regardless. Look at Canada with the lumber issue, the live cattle issue. The NAFTA and WTO have outright ruled against the US but are they going to lift the bans? nope..not for a long time and only after alot of damage has been done.

Education is very important, you can't unload trucks when your 55 for a living anymore. That being said, turning down a promotion can be a serious CLM. You need to decide two things,

    1. Are you going to stay in the IT industry for your entire working life? (don't downplay this thought, and don't make swift decisions, on average people change careers three times threwout their professional working life).

    2. What will be more important in the future? not now or even a year from now, think 5 years out. Will you be better off with an education? or just with a better job?

I can't answer any of these issue for you, BUT I have a B.Sc (in Canada we have diferent scripts, I think in the US you would call it a BS..haha that cracks me up...sorry...) and I think it was the best thing I have done. I majored in EP (Engineering physics) so I can go anywhere and do just about anything if this IT gig of mine gets old. You don't have an option like that (please do not take offense to that). Your 27 and have limited experience...I think personally, the best bet for you is ...school. That is coming from a guy who is only 32 but spent 10 years flying jets in the Airforce, has managed a small business, used to fix cars for a living and now manage an IT team that supports a large user base and goegraphical area. I dont' mean to sound harsh but your "only coding" skills just wouldn't cut it anywhere else but where you are...

    food for thought.
