    If this law passes, then it's really time to make Internet access a public utility so that all citizens can see these bills (and do everything else that most people do online). Putting it online now, as Internet access is limited and expensive, doesn't serve the poor.

    Some of us grown-ups have to use our computers for *work* and can't just choose whatever OS has the prettiest icons, you know. That's why Windows still runs the vast majority of the world's workstations.

    I live in email, but I avoid social media for the same reasons. Social media is worse, in my opinion, because you have zero control. At least with email, if it's on my servers, and I'm paying for it, it's my data.

    I think they're going to get tremendous pushback from customers, and they'll continue selling Windows 7 for a while longer, still. I can't imagine a lot of businesses using Windows 10. That interface is pretty silly.

    And as long as stupid merchants continue to sell stuff at a loss, Amazon will be there. We were invited to be one of Amazon's earliest 3rd party vendors. They wanted 30% of the sale price, including shipping. We would have broken even, at best.

    Put greedy, selfish customers who care nothing about where they spend their money, with greedy, short-sighted vendors who are more interested in short term sales than long term profits, and voila! Amazon profits!
